Chapter 67: Soft touches.

The couple had laid in bed for who knows how long to them, when really it had been almost an entire afternoon. You'd think there must have been so many thoughts going through the couple's minds but it was quiet. The blonde had let his mind wonder as he traced random shapes on the younger's back. The peachette was laying still enjoying the feeling and almost fell asleep until he felt the others movement change from being soft and going in circles to triangles that were more on the fast side. 

Jungguk fluttered his eyes open and looked up at the older with a worry filled expression. He had noticed that the olders mind was elsewhere as his eye seemingly drifting around Jungguks shoulders. The peachette watched the olders eyes, they were what had seemed to be filled with a clouded mess of thoughts, almost like a stormy night. 

"Hyung..what are you thinking about?" 

Taehyung smiled but it was a small one, he drifted his eyes back up to the youngers and changed his hand motions back to circles from triangles. 

"..it would be rough.." He muttered. The younger was confused by the sentence.

"Rough..?" Jungguk asked, he wanted to tilt his head but couldn't due to his head being on a pillow. 

"For you..it'll be rough, when your eomma dies.." Taehyung sighed, he didn't want to state his thoughts aloud but he knew it would be better.

"O-oh… ye-eah…" The peachettes voice broke as he thought about it, tears filled his eyes the more his mind was filled with the thoughts of his eomma dying. 

"Oh, oh no, I'm sorry baby, I shouldn't have said anything, I'm so sorry my sweet baby bun" Taehyung quickly apologized as he pulled the younger closer to his chest. 

"Y-you ment no harm..hyungie...it's okay.." Jungguk mumbled while sniffing. 

"I should have been more careful with what I said, ah…" Taehyung sighed as he placed his forehead on the youngers head. 

"I wasn't thinking, I was in my head, I'm sorry" Taehyung continued to apologize but the younger knew it was okay. He knew that the blonde didn't mean any harm and was only thinking aloud. 

"Hyungie, taehyungie.. listen to me, I said it's okay, you ment no harm in voicing your thoughts, I was the one who asked okay?" 

"Ah.. okay.. you're right.." Taehyung nodded as he placed a kiss on the youngers ear. 

"Aren't I always?" Jungguk asked softly yet sweetly with a smile.

"Mostly" Taehyung teased, earning a pinch on the arm. 

"Stop. Stop stop." Taehyung begged softy while holding both the youngers hands in his own. 

"That's enough silly bunny" 

"Your silly bunny" Jungguk smiled. 

"Of course, no one elses, but mine" Taehyung spoke in such a way that it made the younger feel a shiver go up his spine. 

"Now, what's the plan for December? For both you and Moonchild" Taehyung smiled and brushed some of the youngers hair out the way. 

"Huh-? Oh..oh its Jin hyungs birthday and then Christmas of course, we might do something cute like Christmas themed cookies and sweets" Jungguk hummed near the end thinking of the other things.

"Any ginger bread men?" Taehyung asked curiously. 

"Ah yes! Jimin was thinking about having a workshop for kids to come in a make gingerbread houses with their parents and they get to take it home after" Jungguk smiled at the memory of when jimin mentioned it. 

"That sounds so cute for the kids to do" Taehyung replied, cooing at the thought of children making gingerbread houses and cookies with their parents. 

"It really does!" Jungguk giggled cutely making the blondes heart flutter. He knew it was still too early for them to even think about kids or marriage but the thought had crossed his mind. 

Taehyung smiled as he brought his hand up and traced along the youngers face and cheek bone softly, grazing over the small scar that was present on the youngers cheek and still wondering how he got it.

"Ive been meaning to ask but how'd you get this small scar?" 

"Oh, I got it while trying to make a new dish at Moonchild and accidentally scratched myself while holding a small knife made to cut strawberries" Jungguk took the olders hand in his own and rubbed the back of his as he explained the story. 

"Be careful baby, I don't want you to have more scars" Taehyung admitted as he thought about the scars on the youngers hip and thigh. 

"I will don't worry, hyungie" Jungguk spoke with such sincerity in his voice that it made the older smile and rubbed his thumb over the peachettes cheek softly. 

"Good" he nodded, still not taking his eyes off the younger in front of him. 

Soon the blonde went back to making circles on the youngers back and it made the younger feel tired again. The feeling was comforting yet secure. Almost like you were wrapped in a warm, fluffy blanket on a cool night with the cold air kissing at your skin. It felt right. It felt like you could stay in that space for a long time. But you'd have to get up at some point or another. 

Taehyung started to hum a song that talked of a parrot of the colour blue and how it could fly to a good day and meet a bear in winter. It was soft yet enchanting in the way the melody was hummed. The blonde smiled as he saw the younger at the state of almost falling asleep again. 

"I love you" Taehyung smiled softly after he whispered those three words. 

"I love you too" Was what Taehyung heard back quietly and sounded like it was laced with a sleepy tone. 

The blondes smiled bigger and continued making small circles on the youngers back, feeling his breathing become even and slow. Once he knew that the peachette was asleep he placed a kiss on the youngers nose, making him scrunch it up in his sleep. To the older he looked more like a bunny when he did it.

More thoughts did enter the olders mind but he didn't dwell on them or put too much time into them. He simply enjoyed the moment that was happening and wanted to keep it forever in his heart. 

He wanted the innocent soft touches to happen more. He wanted to soft yet serious talks to continue. But most of all, he wanted to make this last. 

He never wanted the moment to end, the moment of Soft Touches.
