Working at a diner/cafeè is a fairly easy job, serving customers, socializing and always having a laugh. The atmosphere was kind and comforting yet oddly friendly.

The couple were now sitting down in one of the booths at the cafe mixed diner, Jin had said it was okay, since it wasn't as busy as it was on normal days. The younger of the two had his head snuggled against the olders neck, his hands in his lap fiddling with the olders fingers, cutely with his own dainty fingers.
Giggling every now and then from the blonde whispering sweet things in the peachettes ears, jungguk enjoyed the way the olders voice would make a tingle up and then down his spine. The butterflies still fluttered in his stomach everytime.
"Bunny, stop being adorable, or there'll be punishment" taehyung warned with a joking tone.
"What type of punishment..?" Jungguk questioned with a giggle.
"The type of punishment that will make me do this!" The blonde exclaimed as he placed his hands on the youngers sides and started to tickle him, earning a cute flow of giggles that escaped from the peachette.
"T-tae-hyungie!!" The younger giggled out making the older stop. Jungguk smiled and panted from giggling so much.
"Now, stop being so cute~" taehyung warned with a fake order to the younger. The peachette pouted and looked up to the older with his bambi eyes.
"Why should I?" Jungguk teased.
"Because maybe the next punishment will be no kisses for one day" taehyung warned with a smile, making the other look at the older wide eyed.
"No! Anything but that! But …. I can't stop being cute, because… you say I am cute.." jungguk trailed off softly to himself looking down.
"I'm just joking baby, I wouldn't do that" taehyung chuckled as he placed soft kisses on the youngers reddened cheek, making the peachette smile.
"Also what I say is true, you are cute, you're my cutie bunny baby whom I love dearly!" Taehyung exclaimed as he squeezed the youngers cheeks together, then pulled him into a soft embrace.
"I love you too"
They both smiled softly to themselves as they held one another in their warm embrace. Taehyung pulled the younger into his lap so the peachette straddled him. They stayed there, like that in a soft silence, not the type of silence you have at a funeral or when praying, but the nice warm, soft silence you have when it's in the early hours of the morning, sitting on a deck chair, watching the sun rise with a warm drink in hand, wearing shorts and a baggy sweater that creates the perfect length for sweater paws. It was that type of soft silence.
"Hey lovebirds, you two want anything to eat or maybe drink?" A familiar voice asked from next to them.
"..I could go for a plate of pancakes Jin hyung, please" jungguk smiled.
"Okay, taehyung what about you?"
"Hmm, I'll be okay, I can share with Ggukie" taehyung smiled at his boyfriend who nodded.
"Okay, I'll bring it out shortly" Jin smiled and walked back towards the kitchen to make their meal.
Just as they were getting comfortable again, Taehyung's phone started to ring, the tune was that familiar tune he kept humming before meeting the love of his life. It had told the story of a friend's death and how they missed him dearly. He quickly pulled his phone out of his pocket and his eyes widened.
"Who is it?" Jungguk asked curiously as he tried to look over at the olders phone screen. With a finger to his lips, telling the younger to be quiet, the older answered the call.
"Hey Appa, what's up?" Taehyung asked with a smile making the younger smile.
"...are you sure..?" Jungguk grew confused for a few seconds.
"Uh..I can text you when we're both free" taehyung replied making jungguk even more confused.
"Okay, we'll see you soon then" taehyung replied then ended the call.
"What was that about?" The peachette asked after sometime.
"My appa wants to meet you" taehyung replied, sliding his phone back into his pocket.
"Oh? Okay," Jungguk nodded
"Would jin let you meet him?"
"Oh..I think it'll be okay, my days off are coming up anyway" the peachette smiled making taehyung hug him close.
"You, the love of my life, are a lifesaver!" the older exclaimed, smiling widely. Making the younger giggle.
"Where did they want to meet?"
"Uh...not sure yet, I'll ask later" taehyung replied with a guilty expression and a slight chuckle.
"I'll remind you to ask later too" jungguk smiled.
"Okay"
"Pancakes here for the lovebirds!!" Jin exclaimed as he placed the plate down that had delicious golden pancakes on it, they were covered in syrup and chocolate sauce with little patterns of whipped cream on it too.
"Thank you, Jin hyung!!" The younger thanked excitedly as he started to eat the delicious food in front of him.
"Let me have some too bun" taehyung pouted making the younger giggle and cut a piece up for him.
"Here say ahh~"
Taehyung opened his mouth and bit around the fork as he got the piece of pancake in his mouth.
The couple continued to eat the pancakes and talk to one another for a few more hours after the breakfast rush hour came and went.
Taehyung was nervous about jungguk meeting his appa, don't get him wrong, his parents didn't care about who he dated as long as he was happy but he just didn't want his appa asking questions upon questions to the younger.
His eomma would have been the same, about asking questions but.. she wasn't there.
He would have to wait and see what happens.

Well not really.. I just hate having to be in a ZOOM meeting for like 10-20 minutes while the teacher just talks, I like doing the stuff myself.
