~~Courtney's POV~~
"Are you gonna change?" Angelina asks me.
"No, I don't have time to. It's too late."
"Then you should go and get a head start to your house, ok?"
"Sure." I slip on my bathrobe thing (I never really knew what to call them) and walk to my bike. Carefully, I manuever the wheels over the steps, making sure not to let my bike fall into the water of the pool.
"Bye Angelina! See you later!" I yell, as I pass her grandpa's car on my bike.
"Bye!" She replies. "We'll catchup to you! I promise!" Her voice fades away into the night. I look back and wave, trying not to lose my balance with only one hand on my bike's handlebars. She smiles back, and a tree I just passed blocked my view from her.
As I rode forward, I hear a car coming up and look back, hoping it was Angelina's. Turns out, it was a black car, nothing like Angelina's white one. I sigh, wondering when Angelina's car would pass.
I hear Angelina's voice echo in my mind, saying, "We'll catchup to you! I promise!"
She never did catch up.
