~Dimension 565: Brennen Dak's Dimension~
It had been 2 days since Brennen woke up in the hospital. He was told he had been in a coma for a month. This surprised Brennen, he thought that his time in the shadow verse felt so real. Even after being discharged from the hospital Brennen still didn't know what to think. One thing Brennen did know though, today was his first day back to school since he got discharged from the hospital. Brennen had just woken up and got dressed in his usual attire. As soon as he leaft his room Brennen immediately smelled pancakes, syrup, and bacon. As he walked into the kitchen he saw everything he had smelled on the table waiting for him. His parents were also sitting at the table, Brennen had decided not to tell them about the shadow verse, not sure whether it was real or not. As Brennen sat down he ate breakfast without saying a word. It was silent throughout the morning. Once he finished eating, Brennen got up from the table and slung his backpack over his shoulder and headed out for school without saying a word. As Brennen walked through the streets, he noticed everyone who usually greeted him on his way to school were instead stareing at him. "Guess that's what happens when you are in the hospital for over a month." Brennen mumbled to himself. As he arrived at school he noticed some of the other students stareing at him as well. Brennen ignored it and walked through the doors. As he went to his locker he realized the hallways were uncomfortably quiet. He also noticed that, once again, everyone was stareing at him. Once he got to his locker he entered the combination and opened the door. He took his books and supplies out of his backpack and put the backpack in his locker and closed the door. As he walked into the class, the whole room went silent and just stared at him as he walked to his seat and sat down, ignoring them the entire time. This routine continued on through the entire day.
~after school~
As Brennen walked home he got the feeling someone was watching him. As he turned the corner of a delivery building he knew someone was following him. Suddenly Brennen was pushed into an ally by a cloaked figure. Brennen was about to speak but suddenly the cloaked figure wrapped their arms around him and pulled him into a kiss. Brennen was shocked by this until he realized something. The cloaked figure was someone he knew. After the figure finished kissing Brennen they took of their hood to reveal a smiling girl with black cat ears and long black hair. "Petra?!" Brennen said, not believing what he was seeing. Petra nodded happily. "How is this even possible, how are you here?" Brennen asked, confused and happy at the same time. "I don't know. Last thing I remember was laying in bed with you and then I woke up I was in a strange white building." Petra said. "Wait, did this building have a bunch of glass tubes with colored liquids in it?" Brennen asked, having an idea where she appeared from. Petra nodded. "Ok, I know where you were, come on I have an idea." Brennen said grabbing her hand. He was about to walk out of the ally before he came to a realization. "Um Petra, lose the cat ears." Brennen said realizing she couldn't be seen in the open looking like a cat. Petra nodded and her cat ears folded into her hair perfectly. Once she did he lead her out of the ally all the way back to his apartment. As they entered the apartment his parents were about to greet him when he saw the girl he was holding hands with. "Oh, Brennen, who is this young lady?" Brennen's mom said staring at the cloaked girl. "Mom, Dad, we need to talk, it's important." Brennen told his parents. "Ok son, whatever it is you can always tell us." Brennen's dad said as they all went to the living room and sat down. "Ok so, basically this is Petra, she is a princess from a different dimension called the shadow verse. It is a world that exists separately from ours and works completely differently." Brennen told his parents. They just stared at him like he was crazy. "When I fell into the shadow matter I was somehow transferred to the shadow verse while still keeping my body here. I'm still not sure how it works." Brennen continued. His parents looked at Brennen and then back to each other. "Honey, our son has gone crazy." Brennen's dad said to his wife. "Maybe it is a side effect from the shadow matter induced coma, I'll call the hospital." Brennen's mom said as she got up and started to go to the phone. "Wait, I'm not crazy." Brennen said as his mom rushed to the phone. Suddenly, the entire building shook. "What was that, an earthquake?" Brennen's dad said. The building shook again as they heard a loud stomping noise Coming from outside. Curious, Brennen looked outside the window and he was shocked at what he saw. Suddenly Brennen ran outside, with Petra and his parents following him. Both Brennen's parents eyes widened in shock at what they saw. Standing before them was a giant Dragon like creature. It was as tall as a 4 story building and was colored pitch black, with a grey underbelly and wings. The Dragon roared loudly. "It's a Draco, they are only supposed to be in the shadow verse though." Petra said looking at the creature. "Oh crap, we need to take this thing down before it hurts anyone" Brennen said still looking at the creature. Brennen began to step forward. "Crap, I really hope this still works." Brennen said as he put his hands together. "Brennen, what are you doing, we have to get out of here." Brennen's dad said in fear. "Stand back, let Brennen do his thing, just trust him." Petra said, trying to reassure his parents and herself. "In theory this should still work, god I hope I'm right." Brennen said still looking at the creature. "Brennen, believe in yourself, embrace your power. Hear it call to you." Petra said looking at Brennen. His parents just stood their in shock. Brennen took a deep breath trying to calm down. He blocked out everything else as the entire world around him went silent, except for a small, quiet voice that was like a whisper. Brennen closed his eyes and listened to the whisper. Suddenly he opened his eyes and they were glowing purple.
