It's been a week since Brennen arrived in the dark forest from his dreams. In that time Brennen has discovered the world he is in is called the shadow verse and that the old man he met actually is named Merlin (ya, I know, The Merlin) and has been teaching Brennen how to survive in this new strange world. ------------------------------------------------------------------"So why exactly are we doing this" Brennen said as he was currently hanging from a cliff where a normal person would die if they fell. Merlin didn't need to be worried since after a series of impalings from sharp rocks, wild creature attacks, and more death bringing acts, Brennen found out Merlin is actually immortal. "We are doing this to help you survive in this and your world" Merlin said like it was obvious. "I live in a city in my world, I don't think I will need to learn how to climb up a mountain cliff" Brennen said now annoyed. "I have the task of preparing you for the dangers you will be facing when you return from this world to yours young Brennen" Merlin said. "Ok, but when do I get to master my powers like you" Brennen said referring to the series of shadow powers Merlin explained to him that he had. "In time young Brennen, but first, you must learn to scale the cliff, both this cliff, and the one inside you" Merlin said. "I hate it when you get all deep and all knowing Merlin" Brennen said as he continued to climb up the dangerous cliff. Soon, Brennen was at the top and once he was there the sight of what was hidden from the bottom of the mountain took his breath away even more then the climb did. There standing in front of him was a castle made of silver and what could only be explained as shadow diamonds (basically purple diamonds with a black glow). "Woah, if you had told me that this is what I would have found at the top I wouldn't have complained at all Merlin" Brennen said in awe. "Yes you would have young Brennen, now come, the princess is waiting for us in the throne room" Merlin said as if Thrown room and princess were things that come up in conversation normally. "Princess?! Hell ya lead the way my friend" Brennen said with new found energy. As they neared the shadow diamond gates off the castle, two guards also appeared in our line of sight. "Welcome Merlin and young apprentice, you may enter, the princess has been expecting you" One of the guards said, then opening the gates so they may enter. As Brennen and Merlin walked through the big silver and shadow diamond door, they saw a giant throne with a girl that was beautiful and leaft Brennen speechless, sitting on the throne. The girl was the princess and she had a crown made entirely out of shadow matter and shadow diamonds on her head

That comment made Brennen turn a deep shade of red which made the princess giggle, which did not help him get any less red. "This is my young apprentice Brennen, I am training him to be a shadow walker" Merlin said. "Hello milady, Brennen Dak at your service" Brennen said as he bowed before her which made Petra smile. "You may rise, we have much to do Brennen" The princess said, leading them down the hall.
