Chapter 11: Battle between Light and Shadow

Brennen was jumping over the roof tops of Diamond City, he was wearing the new suit that his parents gave him and holding his dual katannas in his hands as he ran. "Holy crap, this suit is so light I can barely tell it's here." Brennen said as he continued running towards the area where most of the demons had been appearing. Suddenly a group of demons appeared in front of him, white balls of fire appearing in their hands. "You wanna play, let's play." Brennen said as he made his katannas dissapear and replacing them with two pitch black spheres with purple energy sparking like electricity all around the spheres. As the demons through there balls of fire, he threw his spheres at them. As the two forces connected to each other it erupted into an explosion that blasted the demons back. Noticing this, Brennen took the opportunity and summoned his katannas and jumped into the air, cutting all three of the demons in half. As the demons erupted with light and dissapeared, Brennen continued running towards the epicenter of the attacks. As he ran more and more demons appeared to try and stop him, but they all failed as Brennen cut them down without mercy. Once he got to the epicenter he was shocked to see that the city plaza and all the building surrounding it were ablaze with white fire, tanks and debree were scattered throughout the plaza and the military were still trying to defeat the demons, but it was useless, the demons were to strong. Suddenly, a white portal opened in the center of the plaza. The portal erupted with light as a giant figure slowly appeared out of the portal. The figure was about the size of a 6 story building and had 2 giant golden eyes. The creature had two golden horns on its head and spikes all down it's arms. The creature held a giant war axe with golden blades and a white handle. The creature roared loudly, causing the military to immediately open fire on the creature. It was useless, the bullets had no effect and any explosives they tried to use just angered the beast even more. Slowly, the creature took out the military with it's axe. Not being able to take in the sight anymore, Brennen rushed at the beast with his katannas in hand. He cut the creatures legs, causing the creature to roar wildly. The Creature swung it's axe but Brennen jumped back, barely dodging the axe as it struck the ground. The creature struggled to get the axe out and Brennen saw this as an opportunity. He jumped on the axe and started to dash up it. Right as he got to the creatures hand, which was the size of a semi, the creature suddenly looked straight at him and raised his other hand and swung it at him at a surprising speed. "Damn it he's fast!" Brennen said as he got knocked back into a building and fell to the ground. As the giant looked down at Brennen it started to walk forward, raising it's hand again to crush him. As the creature started to lower it's hand quickly a streak of black cut through the creatures hand, severing it from the creature. The creature roared in pain as the hand fell to the ground. Suddenly a cloaked figure holding a black staff with a blade made of a dark purple crystal at the end jumped down and helped Brennen up. "Ugh, thanks Petra." Brennen said, instantly recognizing her. "No problem, you continue on, I'll hold of the giant." Petra said, taking off her hood to reveal her black cat ears. Her pupils turned into slits and claws came out of her fingers as she gripped her staff tightly. As she ran at the giant creature, Brennen ran towards the tallest skyscraper in the city, which had a beam of light erupting from the top. As he got to the building he suddenly realized something. "How the hell am I gonna get up there." Brennen said as he saw that it was about 50 stories tall. Suddenly Brennen sensed something. He heard a voice in his ear, a whisper calling out to him. "Use the shadows Brennen." The whispers said. "Ok, just do what the disembodied voice, use the shadows, whatever that meant." Brennen said to himself. He suddenly felt a surge of power flow through him. He focused on the darkness around him and then concentrated on a spot on the building. Suddenly his body glowed black and he dissapeared.

Brennen was suddenly surrounded by darkness. "Ok, well this is new." Brennen said looking all around him. Suddenly Brennen saw an opening. He saw the side of the building he was thinking about. "Ok, I hope this works." Brennen said running to the opening. He then jumped through it.
~Regular Dimension~
Brennen suddenly appeared in a flash of black onto the building, he was 5 stories up and he was hanging onto the edge. "Ok, let's do this." Brennen said. He suddenly dissapeared again, then reappeared on the 10th story. Brennen kept doing this until he appeared on the final story and landed on the roof. He looked around and immediately saw the person he was looking for. However, she wasn't the same at all. Etheria still looked the same in body, but she also had snow White wings and horns, and a demonic tail. Her eyes were completely white with no pupils. "So, this is your true form huh." Brennen said, looking at the real Etheria. "Yes, I have come to take over your world, just like the countless others I have destroyed." Etheria said, her voice sounded completely demonic and he noticed she had sharp teeth. "Not gonna happen, you have to get past me first." Brennen said, his katannas suddenly appearing in his hands. "You are not the first to try and stop me. Many shadow walkers much stronger then you have tried, all have failed and been struck down by my blade." Etheria said, her sword appearing in her hand. "Well I'm not backing down." Brennen said charging at Etheria with his katannas. She brought down her blade and instinctively Brennen ducked and let go of his katannas as she broke through them. Brennen then threw a sphere of darkness at her, knocking her back and causing her to growl angry. Suddenly, Etheria's eyes glowed white even more and she moved like a blur, slashing at Brennen. Brennen was helpless as she covered him with small cuts. As he fell to the floor Etheria stopped and raised her sword. "Time to die, pathetic Shadow." Etheria said bringing her sword down. "No!" Brennen yelled, his eyes glowing purple as he blocked the strike with the two arm armours he had on his suit, the armour was glowing brightly with his eyes. Surprisingly Etheria's sword wasn't able to brake through the armour. "What is this, this isn't possible!" Etheria screamed as her attack was blocked. Brennen got up, his scars glowing black as the slowly closed. "Yes it is Etheria, this is it." Brennen said rushing at her with two new katannas appearing in his hands. As he slashed at Etheria, she blocked with her sword. However, with each strike her sword began to crack. Soon the sword shattered. Etheria raised her fist to strike Brennen but he was able to dodge. He put his hand to her stomach. "Game. OVER!" Brennen yelled as a beam of darkness erupted straight through Etheria. Etheria fell to the ground, slowly turning to dust. By the time she hit the ground, she was completely gone. Brennen suddenly heard cheering from down below. He looked down from the building to see that the demons had all been defeated and the giant dead. Suddenly Petra appeared on the building and hugged him, tears in her eyes. They sat down as they watched the sun rise. It was a new day as the war between light and shadows was finally over.
