April's Death

Karai was sitting on her new bed in the sewers, she was reading a book about her father's life before becoming a mutant and after becoming a mutant. She sipped on her hot green tea as she kept reading the book. Leonardo was in the dojo training with April, April had been improving on the so-called powers that she has. Raphael was in Master Splinter's old room keeping it clean as Master Splinter like it. Mikey was in the living room watching tv as if he does not have anything better to do. Even though he is surrounded by empty pizza boxes and orange soda pop cans. Donnie was of course in his lab testing new things as usual. April held her hands out as the weapon rack began to shake before the weapons came flying at Leo pinning him to the wall but not hurting him.

"Woah I underestimated you, you are amazing April!" Leo said as he tried to get free, "uh little help please?" he asked.

"Oh right," she said with one swipe of her hand the weapons went back to the rack as if not even touched.

"I do have to say you being part Krane part human does make you pretty amazing," Leo said as he pat her on the back before saying, "I think Donnie wants to speak with you."

"Okay," April said with a very bright smile as she went into Donnie's lab, "hey Don you wanted to see me?"

"Yeah I did, I don't like it when you and Leo flirt..." Donnie said coldly while looking through his microscope. 

"We are not flirting, jeez you are such an idiot sometimes..." April said as she folded her arms.

Donnie felt his heart fall before he spoke, "you know I love you..."

April unfolded her arms and kissed his head, "I do not like Leo like that. Karai does and I would never take her crush from her."

Donnie blushed, "okay good."

(writers note: I know this is supposed to be Karai x Leo / Venus x Leo but I have to show some of the other brothers and their love so it doesn't seem like Leo has a bunch of love interest okay sorry!) (Also for the best effect for people listening to music skip to 37:08)

While chilling on the couch out of nowhere a huge explosion happened in the living room, the blast ringed through everyone's ears. April, Donnie, Leo, Ralph, and Karai all ran to Mikey. No one could see him, they all looked around and began to move the rubble to find him.

"Hey, he is over here!" Karai yelled as she got herself under the rock crushing him and began to push it off him.

Ralph and Leo got to Mikey and Karai quickly and all three of them managed to get the rock off Mikey. Several more rocks began to fall but April threw her hands up and she made all the rocks stop, she was struggling to keep them up.

"Go now!" April yelled at them.

"Not without you!" Donnie yelled back.

"Donnie please... Go now!" April yelled as a tear ran down her cheek.

Leo picked up Karai and Mikey and ran out with them. Ralph grabbed Donnie and they ran out too. After they were far enough away they heard a loud crash... All the boys' hearts sank and tears whelped up in their eyes. They all got to Casey's house, Casey saw they were all beaten up and crying while Mikey was still unconscious.

"G-Guys where is red?" Casey asked them when he realized she was not in the group.

None of them answered Casey, but their tears spoke louder than any words could have. Casey began to whelp up, he helped them all and got Mikey the care he needed. Karai was sitting outside on the grass looking at the stars. Leo walked out there and sat next to her.

"How are you holding up?" he asked her in a soft caring voice.

Karai looked at him as a tear slipped down her cheek. He motioned for her to come over and hug him. She crawled over and hugged him as she cried into his plastron.

"She was my best friend Leo... I trusted her and cared about her as if she was my sister..." Karai said sobbingly.

Leo rubbed her back gently as he fought back his tears before saying, "I know... we were all close to her especially Donnie and you."

"H-How is her father going to take this?..." Karai asked.

"Let us not worry about that right now... he will begin to notice her absence and then we will answer to him what happened to her," Leo said to her trying to reassure her.

Karai felt her eyes get very heavy, she tried to fight it but could not help but to fall asleep in his arms. Leo noticed she fell asleep and looked up at the stars one last time, he saw one appear and shine brighter than the others.

"You will probably watch over us now..." Leo whispered before he swooped Karai up into his arms bridal style and carried her back inside.

The next morning Karai felt the sheets and sat up quickly, she looked around and saw Leo asleep in the corner of the room. She got up quietly and saw she was in shorts and a tank top. Karai thought to herself, 'd-d-did Leo change me?! I was in sweatpants and a hoodie before!' Karai went into the hallway quietly and saw Casey's sister.

"Hey, auntie Karai!" the younger sister said with a smile.

"Hey Cassidy," Karai said with a smile.

"Do you like the clothes? Leo said you were sweating in your clothes so he asked me to help you," Cassidy said with a bit of joy hoping she did something good.

Karai laughed nervously, "yeah thanks, Cassidy."

"No problem!" Cassidy said before she kept eating her toast. Karai snuck off and went into the sewers, she shivered as she began to head back to the lair. While walking she felt a jacket surround her giving her warmth.

"Huh?" she said as she turned around.

Casey was behind her and said, "listen I do not like you like that but no lady should ever be cold besides Leo would kill me if he knew I just let you go here by yourself."

"Oh, well let us get going then," Karai said as they both continued to go to the lair.

When they arrived they looked for April's body but could not find her. Then they heard footprints and hid.

"Is there anyone else here?" a female light but stern voice asked.

"No, it seems only that red hair girl was left. It is strange we did not find the boys and their sister," another female with curiosity in her voice said.

"Then let us go before they come back to find the redhead," the first girl said.

Just as soon as they came they were gone, no trace of them to be seen. Karai and Casey knew they had to tell the others as they ran back. They got out of the sewers and began to tell the others what
