SHAKING THINGS UP...

Chapter One.

(Picture Of Dee on Sidebar!)

Looking up at the school that is now mine, I nod approvingly. Even though my parents apparently hate me, they still cant have their baby girl going to a public school can they now? Some of the lingering pupils stop to stare as I flick up my sunglasses and take a closer look.

The school is your typical private school; glass windows sparkling, gates polished to a shine and pupils dressed in designer clothing. That's what I hate about my life, thefalsenessaround it. Everything about this school looks fake. Like the sign at the front that says 'No bullying policy', you just know that inside of the gates big guys are pushing smaller people down and picking on them. Maybe that's why I decided to shake things up a little, going from shy little smart kid to rich bad girl. Sure, it pissed Mom and Dad off, a plus side, and sure I did get hell for beating that chick up that one time but so what? Life needs to be lived because if youdon'tlive your life to the max, there'sno point in you living at all.

I slam my car door shut and keep my head up as I walk into the gates of hell and onto the school grounds. Just as I'm about to walk up the stairs to the office, I spot a group of girls in a circle, looking down. I sigh as I head that way and push my way through the circle and break free in the middle where a girl is bent on the ground, picking up books. I can see that the girl would be beautiful, if itweren'tfor the owl rimmed glasses and fringe covering her eyes.

"Here, let me help you." I bend down and pick up the rest of the books. Standing up, I glance down at one of the books in my hand and see an old classic.

"Wuthering Heights, that's a good book, a classic." I tell her. I look up and see that thee group of girls have gave us some space but are still standing over us, looking down at us. My attention drifts to the petite blonde girl with chocolatey brown eyes hidden under her glasses, still on the ground. I hold my free hand out to her and she hesitantly takes it.

"Thanks," She mumbles, head down and I think of how much she resembled me two years back when I let bitches push me about.

"What do you think you're doing?" One of the girls snarl and I turn to them, rolling my eyes.

"I'm helping out a friend, and if you've got a problem with that, then you can leave a message because I'm pretty busy right now." I say innocently before turning back to the girl and pulling her out of the circle. All of the girls watch as I pull her up the stairs and into the office.

"You shouldn't let them push you about like that." I tell her and her shoulders sag, tears coming to her eyes.

"I cant stop them..There is just so many of them and I cant take them all if it gets ugly." She whispers and I nod my head.

"Well, you wont have to, not any more." I say and she looks up.

"What?"

"I said you wont have to, not any more." I repeat.

"No, I mean ,why? Why are you helping me?" I sigh and look her in the eye.

"Look, I used to be like you; I used to hate going to school because of bullies, I used to be humiliated on a daily basis and most of all, I used to let them." I tell her with a sad smile.

"What changed?" She whispers.

"Me. I grew up. I realised that bitches like them don't deserve the satisfaction of seeing me down or seeing me cry." I say and she looks down, looking uncomfortable.

"Look, lets start over." I tell her and she looks grateful.

"Hi, my names Dee and I'll be shaking things up around here." I say, holding my hand out for her to shake.
