Shaking Things Up...

Chapter Eighteen.

"Aren't you going to give me a hug, Cuz?" She asks when I don't make a move towards her. I scan her and see that she hasn't really changed since we were twelve. Her naturally dirty blonde hair is bouncing at her shoulders while her greyish- blue eyes sparkle mischievously.

"Yeah!" I tell her while gathering her up in my arms.

"Wow, I've missed you so much!" I whisper. She pulls back and looks me over.

"You look so different, DeeDee. I mean, I've seen pictures but wow, you really are beautiful now. I could get you a job if you wanted!" She rushed, squeezing me again. I laugh and pull away, turning to my friends.

"These are my friends. There's Sapphire, Kayleigh, Zion, Carson and Elijah." I point to them all but lean in while saying Elijah.

"I'd keep away from him. He's a big player." She rolls her eyes at my warning and smiles at him.

"And this is Sarah, guys. My partner in crime." She turns to me and loops her arm through mine while watching everybody else stare at her in shock.

"And yes, I am a model. And yes, you should get over it." She quips, sending them all out of their daze. Sapphire looks Sarah up and down before smiling slightly. 

"I think we'll get on well." She says and Sarah smirks. Kayleigh just smiles happily.

"Okay guys and g'alls, towels are in the closet upstairs and breakfast is on the table. I'll be there in a minute." I tell them and they all trudge up stairs, their shoes making noises on the floors. 

"So, what are you doing here?" I ask excitedly, turning back to her. She smiles.

"Just thought I'd come see my old buddy. Hope you don't mind if I stay for a while, I've taken a few weeks off so I can come see you." She tells me and I smile. I look over her shoulder and see her bags.

"Yeah sure, Mom and Dad are away anyways, so it's just you and me buddy." I tell her and she smiles, looking about.

"What happened here?" She exclaims, as if seeing the place for the first time.

"Party." I grumble and she gasps.

"Then who are those people. Hot guys may I add." She says with her hands on her hips.

"They stayed over and I guess it all ended up in a water fight." I say slowly, thinking about how strange that sounds.

"Boys? Staying over? Wow, I've never seen this wild side of you before, DeeDee." She says. But her smile is excited. She's probably excited about how much havoc we can reek.

"Yeah, well its a new me, that's all." I tell her  and her smile broadens.

"Well, I like it. You look so much better without the glasses and the braces." She says, cringing.

"I know." I tell her. I drag her through to the kitchen, leaving her bags at the door. We settle on stools.

"So, bikini model, huh? That's got to be fun." I nudge her and wink. 

"Yeah, it is. They've got a job for me here, so I thought 'Why don't I go see good old DeeDee and see how she's doing, but I can see your doing well." She praises and I laugh.

"Thanks." She picks up a piece of bacon and shoves it into her mouth and moans blissfully.

"I guess all that cooking when we were ten paid off, huh?" She asks and she takes another slice.

"Hey, save some for us!" Sapphire shouts at the door, with a towel around her shoulders, trying to dry off her hair. Everyone else follows in.

"Here." Kayleigh sits next to me and gives me a towel which I try my best to dry off with. The boys sit across from us, staring at Sarah's boobs.

"Her eyes are up here, dipwad's!" I yell and they snap to look at me.

"Sorry." They mumble.

"Mmhmm.." Sarah mumbles, sounding like she's used to it.

"So, what brings you here Sarah." Sapphire asks, starting conversation.

"It's Sapphire, right?" Sarah asks and she nods.

"Yeah Sapphire, just here to see my darling cousin, of whom I have not seen in, I believe it is four and a half years, right?" She asks, turning to me.

"Sounds about right."

 "So..." We all trail into an uncomfortable silence as the boys dig into their pancakes and bacon.

"Will you be coming to school with me?" I ask Sarah and she shrugs.

"I don't know really. I was going to ask you what it is like before I make a decision." She tells me.

"Well, I've only been here for about a week so I can go as far as saying it's okay." I tell her. She turns to Zion.

"What about you, do you think your school is good?" Sarah asks him and he shrugs.

"Aren't all schools the same?" 

"Touché." She mutters, eating another piece of bacon.

"Well, I think you should definitely start up, as long as you don't turn into one of the Barbies." I say, huffing while cutting up a pancake I put on my plate.

"Barbies?" She asks, eyebrows raised.

"Yeah, we call them the plastic four." Sapphire tells her angrily.

"Hmm... Sounds fun. Maybe staying here for a few weeks isn't such a bad idea." She mutters to herself, her mind deep in thought.

"Hey, I know that face." I tell her while studying her. She snaps out of her iner thoughts and looks at me.

"What?"

"That's your 'I've got a plan' face." I say and she chuckles.

"You know me so well." She laughs.

"I do." I admit.

"We're partners in crime." We both say at the same time, making the group laugh.

We all stop laughing and they all look at us.

"So what's that plan of yours?" Sapphire asks Sarah and she shrugs.

"It's not so much a plan, just an idea." She answers.

"So?" I ask and she turns to me.

"I just wanna .....You know..." She trails of trying to find the words.

"Shake things up." We both say that the same time. We chuckle while everyone else is silent and I high-five her.

"Gosh, you two are so much alike that it's creepy." Kayleigh mumbles and the rest agree.

Well now that I've got my partner in crime back, I feel as if I can raise the world. I mean, Sarah and I are known for shaking things up...

Yeah, I've been resisting sleep for a while now and I'm ready to pass out bu I'm having a 'Pretty Little Liers' marathon on the TV and it's getting pretty interesting, so I'm trying to stay awake.
