-No one's POV-

Izuku slowly opened his eyes and felt something on his side. He looked down to see his dad...what was happening? He looked around some more to see he was in a hospital. He tried to move around but he then let out a groan. It hurt to move. Aizawa immediately woke up, he looked like a mummy.

"Y-your awake..." he said in a croaky voice. It sounded like he had been crying not too long ago. His voice also sounded restless. He sounded more tired than usual. Had he slept at all?

"D-D-Dad...how long have I been out?" Izuku asked, memories of USJ flooding back to him.

"Too long..." Aizawa responded sadly. Izuku felt horrible. He left his dad alone, he was probably worried sick. Izuku slowly wrapped his uninjured arm around Aizawa.

"I'm sorry, it's my fault." Izuku said solemnly. Aizawa shook his head and started to shake. Izuku swore he heard him crying. He was right...Aizawa was crying.

"I-It's not your fault, stop thinking that way!" Aizawa screamed at Izuku. He flinched at Aizawa's sudden snapping but listened closely.

"Y-You got hurt and your arm almost got torn off! The doctor s-said you might've not made it! It's been a whole month after the attack and you haven't been awake until now! I thought you were going to d-die or forget a-about me!" I was worried I couldn't see you again or-!" Izuku stopped Aizawa's rambling by placing a hand on his shaking one.

"Hey it's alright, I didn't die and I didn't forget...so there is nothing to worry about." Izuku uttered softly, calming down the shaking man. Aizawa's hiccups could be heard throughout the entire room. His sobbing got louder.

~Flashback time kiddos~

Aizawa was watching the whole thing. He might've passed out for a moment but that's about all. Nothing prepared Aizawa for what he was about to see. He was staring in shock, that nomu thing was about to tear off  Izuku's arm. Tears rolled down his cheeks as he tried to get up. He couldn't...he was in too much pain. His voice seemed as good as gone when he tried to call out Izuku's name. In this dire moment...he was utterly useless. His loud sobbing mixed with groans filled the USJ. A loud "I AM HERE!" echoed the building. Aizawa didn't even have to look to know who it was. He kept his eyes glued on the nomu and Izuku. The nomu then tossed Izuku aside like a useless doll and carried on. Izuku's body looked twisted and unnatural. His bone was sticking out on the left arm, his face was painted with pain, blood everywhere. Blood on his uniform, face, arms, legs, everywhere. The way his body was left strewn on the floor looked right out of a horror movie. It was disturbing to say the least. Aizawa sobbed louder and louder, not even caring about his own pain. He tried to crawl over to Izuku but was stopped when the blue haired villain stepped on his hand, earning a cry of pain out of Aizawa. His sobbing didn't stop though. All he could think of was his son.

"Going to your son I see. Your too late, he's already dead!", the hands villain laughed maniacally. Aizawa froze at his words. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead.

He.

Is.

Not.

Dead.

~Flashback over~

"I'm not dead.", said a soft, reassuring voice. Aizawa, still shaking intensely, threw his arms around Izuku in an embrace. Oh how he missed hugging Izuku every day. Izuku winced in pain but soon chuckled. He nuzzled his face into Aizawa's chest and smiled. Izuku opened his mouth to say something.

"I'm sorry..."

"For what?"

"For not being there when you needed me most..."

"I'm sorry."
