-no one's pov-
~at Sports Festival~

Izuku took deep breaths as he walked into the middle of the stadium. He looked around anxiously and sweatdropped. All eyes were on him. It shook him to the core. His eyes widened in shock as he opened his mouth to speak.

"T-There's so m-many people." Izuku stumbled on his words a bit but payed no mind to it. Iida nodded and added to Izuku's statement.

"Will we be able to give our best performance being watched by so many people?" Iida eyed everyone in the stadium seats. Izuku shuddered as he kept his gaze on the audience. Everyone in 1-A was nervously uttering.  The other classes walked into the center of the stadium, not getting as much praise like 1-A. Izuku looked around and spotted Shinsou, who's eyes weren't on Izuku. They were on Kaminari. Izuku bit his lip and  looked back at the ground.

The R-Rated Hero, Midnight greeted the students while showing off her looks. Everyone, including the students were drooling over her. Izuku didn't get what was so good about her. Midnight flashed out her whip and pointed to Todoroki.

"Representing the students is Shoto Todoroki from Class 1-A!" Midnight exclaimed. Everyone turned to look at the bi-hair colored boy as he made it to the stage. He grabbed the mic and prepared to speak.

"I pledge, to use my ice quirk only. I want to prove to my father that I can be number one without using his quirk." Todoroki stated blankly while loooking at Endeavor, who gave him a disapproving look. Everybody stayed silent in shock. Todoroki walked off the stage and back into the crowd.

"Now, let's get started right away!" Midnight shouted gleefully. She introduced the first game which was an obstacle race. Everyone sweatdropped as they got ready. Izuku readied up as he waited for the light to turn green, signaling all of the students to go. He knew he couldn't use One For All this soon in the game. Izuku had to be strategic right now.

"START!"

With that signal, everybody ran as fast as they could. Present Mic was announcing every movement the students made. While Aizawa watched for his son, secretly cheering him on. As the students neared the first obstacle, Izuku started coughing, almost choking. His lungs tensed up and his brain told him to stop running, but he kept going. Izuku didn't want to dissapoint his dad. Failing the first obstacle would be a major embarrassment. Izuku didn't want that for his father. Izuku was eventually wheezing and gasping for air, he felt as if he had asthma but a million times worse. The freckled boy stopped running when he saw giant robots blocking the pathway.

"Dammit" Izuku uttered while blood spilled out of his mouth. He pushed forward and was about to activate his biological quirk. As he approached the robots, Todoroki swooped by and froze the robots. As Todoroki passed by, he shouted to Izuku.

"I'm sorry and you might need to clean up your face!" Todoroki said before running ahead of everyone else. His words left Izuku confused. He touched his face and felt a warm and sticky liquid. Izuku's eyes widened as he knew what Todoroki was talking about. Hanahaki.

"Not now!" Izuku hollered frustratingly. Tears found their way to his eyes but Izuku still refused to give up. No matter how dangerous it was, Izuku rammed through the frozen and unstable robots. One of the robots almost fell on top of Izuku. Luckily he dodged it on time, but it could've taken his life. The atmosphere was tense, Hizashi's constant screeching didn't help at all. Izuku was left behind, many others were passing him. This made Izuku push harder. But, as he did, his lungs were giving out. At one point, Izuku couldn't breathe and his face was visibly turning purple. While this was happening, Aizawa kept a close eye on his boy. The tired man noticed Izuku's trouble breathing and ran out of the small room he was encased in with Hizashi. Although, before he could get to the door, Toshinori walked in.

"Out of the way, I need to get to Izuku-"

"Stay away from him" Toshinori stopped Aizawa halfway through his sentence. Aizawa gawked at Toshinori with wide eyes. He shook his head and attempted to push through. Toshinori stopped him once more, sending Aizawa into a rage.

"He's my goddamn son, not yours! So stop trying to act like his father!"

"I know how to raise him better than you do!" Toshinori snapped back. Aizawa was caught off guard by his statement. Aizawa started questioning himself. Was he as good as a father he thought he was? Was Izuku happy with him? These questions made Aizawa dizzy and tired.

"Let the boy finish this obstacle course."

"But he is literately gasping for air! What if my son dies out there!" Aizawa retorted. Toshinori sighed in annoyance as he massaged his temples. Toshinori then looked at Aizawa with a disapproving face.

"This is a Yuuei High School obstacle course. I'm positive nobody can die from this." Toshinori stated obviously. This made Aizawa less tense. The tired man looked at Toshinori before sitting down. Toshinori left the secluded room afterwards.

"Hizashi, give me the status on Izu please." Aizawa asked Hizashi seriously. Although, Hizashi didn't take him seriously, mainly because of how adorable the man had sounded when he said Izu. Hizashi nodded reluctantly before obeying Aizawa.

"Izuku is far behind the rest of the students, I wonder why." Hizashi uttered to nobody in particular. He looked closer before he chicked on his spit. Aizawa jumped and looked at Hizashi, startled by his sudden action.

"What!? What's happening out there!" Aizawa shouted worriedly. Hizashi gasped and coughed some more before breathing properly again. He soon regained his posture but was shaking.

"There is b-blood all over Izuku's m-mouth." Hizashi said rather quietly but it was loud enough for Aizawa to hear. Aizawa started to run towards the exit once more before stopping himself. Toshinori's words came back to him. This wasn't fatal to Izuku, right?

"Wait, Izuku Midoriya has pushed forward and placed himself in second!" Hizashi exclaimed into the mic. Aizawa whipped his head around in surprise. He then ran up back to his seat to see what Hizashi was talking about. He was right, my son was in second place.

I'm so proud of him....
