Paleheart's heart was pounding erratically, the sting of catmint smell in his eyes. Stemtail was fortunately on the moonhigh patrol. The brown tabby, who was worn out, lagged behind the others. Paleheart released all of the anger he had been suppressing, including anger over having to kill and anger over having his love stolen by someone else. Soon later, Stemtail came close to the bushes where Paleheart was hidden.

"Stemtail." The pallid tom mutely hissed to himself. He rushed out and dragged Stemtail into the brush, his grin becoming wider. Paleheart maintained his grip on the warrior's muzzle despite Stemtail's attempts to howl. Wide-eyed, he looked up at his attacker. Stemtail went limp after taking a severe throat bite.

Paleheart left Stemtail's dead body outside after hearing the crows overhead calling. The crows will feast tonight, He cruelly smirked at the thought. They will feast well, Paleheart dashed off back to his clan.
