"how're you feeling mate, youre looking better?" i ask, sitting down opposite him at the table. he nods his head and smiles.

" good mate. i think theyre going to let me out soon."

"thats amazing spencer!" i say, genuinely ecstatic for him. hed lost alot of weight over these last six months. ive come in as often as i can, once or twice a week. the fist month had been really hard for him and hed relapsed a couple times. but he was doing good now. he seemed more awake then ever and genuinely on top of his problem.

"yeah, theyre saying im a making great progress and that i should be out within the next couple weeks." he smiles, proud of himself.

"thats really great Spencer, i know how hard this has been for you and seeing you now. its so amazing how far youve come." i say. he laughs and makes a joke about me being soft. i laugh and its almost back to how it used to be. almost.

"how about you Ryan?" i sigh and shake my head.

"just taking it a day at a time, you know?" and the thing is, Spencer did know. he knew exactly what i was going through and knew how much i was hurting. how my arms looked now and how much i hated myself for it. id been seeing Dr.Way but i just felt like nothing would be the same again. going back to how it used to be was a slap in the face. Brendon was a breath of fresh air that only made it harder to come down from.

"one day at a time." he nods.
