Three Years Later..

I wandered the streets of Mystic Falls, occasionally squinting my eyes at the brightness of the sun. Not a single day had gone by where I wasn't looking for a way to bring Kai back. It wasn't exactly easy, seeing as I refused to speak with the people who might have been able to help. I felt detest towards Damon and them all for everything they've done. But at the same time, I felt nothing at all. All I wanted was Kai.

I groaned when I felt the vibration of my phone in my pocket, pulling it out and reading the text that appeared on my screen.

Lily Salvatore:  Please conform back at the house. I have an announcement for you all.

I furrowed my eyebrows at the formality of the text, quickly typing back as I crossed the street.

Nayeli: Stop texting like that. You sound like a grandma.

Just as I was about to hit send, I was encountered with a sharp feeling in my side before soaring through the air, landing roughly on the street a few feet away from the car that had hit me.

My eyes were shut closed as I felt the aching through my body but it only lasted a few moments as I felt my wounds healing.

I kept my eyes closed, however, when I heard the footsteps of a concerned woman rushing over towards my body before a man came over as well.

"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god." The woman rambled hysterically as she rolled me over. "We have to call 911."

"She walked right into the street." The man defended himself before going silent momentarily, "Look, it's not like anyone saw us, right?"

"Are you insane?" The woman whispered, "We can't just leave her here, she's not moving!"

But I had already heard the disappearing steps of one of the two, before hearing the car door slam shut.

"Shit." The woman mumbled under her breath before her steps disappeared as well, hearing the repeating sound of the car door shutting.

I shot up from my position immediately, taking a deep breath with furrowed brows, "Unbelievable." I muttered to myself before standing up.

I looked over to the car that had hit me, seeing the couple with wide set eyes and mouths ajar in shock.

The man fumbled to start the car as the woman yelled, "Drive!"

I tilted my head, walking towards the car slowly.

"What are you doing? Drive!" The woman shouted in the man's ear.

"I'm trying! The car won't start!"

I smiled to myself, silently thanking my abilities as a witch, until I was at the driver's side, looking at the man through the window with a smirk, "You weren't just gonna leave me there, were you?" I pouted.

"H-How are you alive?" He stuttered. "Please.. don't hurt us."

"Oh, darling." I fake frowned before smiling again, "It'll be over before you know it."

...

"Can you believe the manners of some people today?" I complained aloud as I entered the house where Lily and the heretics were staying, walking into the living room.

Their eyes turned to me once they heard my voice, "I just got hit by a bloody truck and they were gonna leave me on the street like roadkill." I scoffed with a shake of my head before plopping down onto the couch next to Beau.

"Well at least tell me you ate them." Nora commented from across the couch I was laid on.

"Don't be ridiculous." I looked at her in disbelief, "Of course I did." I smiled mischievously as she giggled, causing Lily to glare at me to which I only shrugged innocently.
