"I fought tirelessly to reuinte us. Found ways to coexist in this new world. Sacrificied everything to make us a family again. How dare you jeapordize that? All of you." Lily glared over all of us in betrayal after returning from New York and discovering the mess we've made.

She looked over to me, "And you." She began, "I thought, with all things considered, you would be the one to set an example."

I scoffed at her words, "Me? An example? Darling, please."

Lily shook her head, "After all that I've done to try to help you be reunited with your love, this is how you repay me?" She asked with devastation making me sigh as she looked over the rest of us, "Your arsenic outburst at the town park was absolutely unacceptable. And you fed on innocents after all the work we've accomplished through a balanced diet. The bloodshed ends now."

She looked over all of our guilty expressions before continuing, "Thanks to your reckless decisions, I've negotiated with my sons. They've evacuated the residents of Mystic Falls; anyone who trespasses is on their own."

"And how on Earth did you get your sons to give up their old home?" Mary Louise asked as she glanced around the old Salvatore house.

Lily took a few glances around as well before taking a deep breath, "Damon and Stefan are both willing to pay a small sacrifice for peace." She answered, "A truce that you will respect. You may hate them, but this how we live now. Alongside our enemies." She said finally before heading upstairs.

I sighed, looking over to Nora who sat irritated with the new rules, "This isn't fair." She complained with a huff, "They blow up our home and we're the ones who get in trouble." She shook her head.

I stood up from my seat, "Something's off about Lily.." I mumbled, walking into the kitchen to grab salt before returning to the living room, grabbing candles along the way, "She's distracted. I think she's hiding something."

"What are you doing?" Valerie asked me, witnessing as I stood in the center of the living room, sprinkling salt around me in a circle before I sat, lighting the candles with a wave of my hand.

"Oh, while Lily was out playing peacemaker, I was actually focused on what's important." I turned to her, "Getting Kai back."

"How are you going to do that?" Nora questioned.

"Well," I began, opening up my spell book, "I've found a life force binding spell that binds the life energy of one person to that of another person. Which allows a person to be revived from death without upsetting Nature's cycle of life and death." I explained, "Of course, I'm not completely sure if this will work so I need to test it, obviously."

"On who? This town's deserted." Valerie stated the obvious with her arms crossed.

"Not who; what." I corrected her with a smile before turning to Beau who sat on the couch quietly, as usual. "Beau, be doll would you and fetch me those god-awful birds from upstairs?"

He simply nodded and Valerie turned to me with furrowed brows, "Those birds don't belong to us, they belonged to the Salvatores."

"Oh, relax." I reassured the worried blonde, "Obviously if they cared about those birds they wouldn't have left them here." I rolled my eyes before Beau returned in seconds, setting down the caged birds in front of me.

"Brilliant." I muttered to myself, shooting Valerie a wink as she shook her head in disapproval. I took a deep breath before beginning to chant, "Phasmatos tribum melan veras raddiam onu pavadus ponemus."

"Now," I looked over to the intrigued faces around the living room, "for the finale..." I trailed off, lifting my hand and focusing on one of the birds, closing my hand slowly and watching as the bird's movement slowly became frozen until my hand was closed into a fist, and the bird laid lifeless.
