I can hear Mirajane talking to someone through the door, my ear pressed close against the wood paneling. I don't understand what exactly this game she had planned is about and I'm not entirely sure I like it. Suddenly I hear Mirajane's heels clicking towards me and I jump back from the door just as she opens it.
"Jellal?" She squints into the dark until she sees me. I gulp, her eyes are filled with anger. She hadn't looked that way before. What had happened?
"Come with me." She digs her fingernails into my wrist and practically pushes me into a room where I'm all by myself. I'm still holding the cake in my hands it I an careful not to spill it on the floor.
"Wait! Mirajane! What's this all about?" I try to protest, but she just shuts the door behind me and I can hear her heels clicking yet again as she makes her way towards the other side of the room. She goes inside the door that holds darkness and the next second I can hear Erza's voice ringing in the silence. My blood freezes and I'm glued to my spot.
What's happening?! I can't move, just me hearing Erza's voice locks me into place unable to move. Suddenly I see Erza's scarlet hair and she's being pushed into the room. She turns towards the door yelling at Mirajane to talk to her, but she's rewarded with the door slamming in her face just like it had with me.
Erza finally turns and when she sees me, her face goes as red as her head. We stand in an awkward silence. Until I bring my hands up with the cake and give a weak smile.
"Cake?"
