-----Dameon POV-----

Man, how did I get stuck outside by myself on this grill with the sun beaming on me? I don't mind though, I could always work on my tan and I wasn't saying anything to Pops when he said that he had to step into a study to take care of some business. From the sounds of his tone, he wasn't happy with the person on the other end.

Pops has always been a mystery to me. I really don't know too much about him except he got that money, money! I mean I have money, money but Pops got that set ya family up of for life type money. From what I know Pops buys small businesses, fix them up and sell them to the highest bidder. It's kinda crazy that even his kids know nothing about their dad's past. All Wes and his sister Amelia know is a world with money which is where we differ cause all I know is how to get money.

The sound of giggles jolts me back to reality. As the source of the laughter clears the patio doors, I am greeted with open arms. I slightly bend down to embrace the soon to be birthday girl. Amelia gives off the cutest squeal as I stand back up to my full height, slightly lifting her off the ground with one arm.

Ever met a women that is just perfect? Well, let me introduce you to Amelia Lafuentes. She has the perfect face with the perfect body to match. Never gets in any trouble. Graduated at the top of her class with a 4.8 GPA, she goes to Yale where she is getting her PhD in medicine. Then she's supposed to go off to John Hopkins to start her medical internship. She even wants to join something called 'Doctors Without Borders' so she can help the less fortunate. Just an all-around perfect little angel.

"I see Papi stuck you on grill duty again." Amelia said as she attempts to steal a hot dog off the grill.

"Yea well you know ya brother too pretty to do it." I replied, swatting at her hand.

"DAMN STRAIGHT AND?" Wes yells from the kitchen.

An small voice spoke "Hi D" from behind me. From the tone, I immediately knew who it came from. "What's good Meh." As I turned in her direction. She just gave me this awkward grin and goofy wave. Meh, is Amelia's friend/roommate from college. As I'm sure you can tell she is a very soft-spoken and she doesn't really say much, but she has always been good people in my book.

"Ugh you're cooking?" And then there is Keria.

"Looks like that way captain obvious!"

"I've lost my appetite!" She scuffs at me while taking a step closer to me.

"I'm sorry was I supposed to care about that bit of useless information you felt the need to share?"

Stepping in between us Amelia throws up her hands in both directions "REALLY! You two haven't even been in the same area for five minutes yet! Sheesh!" Keria just rolls her eyes and walks off in the opposite direction.

Keria is Amelia's best friend. They've known each other about the same time Wes and I have been friends seeings as they met at one of my legendary kick backs. Me and Keria, however, have known each other our whole lives. She was even my girlfriend for ten minutes at recess when I was seven. She followed me around, trying to make me hold her hand, so I pushed her down in the sandbox and dumped her. What can I say even then I was a savage. Now we have a love/hate relationship. I would do anything for her but how I love to still get under her skin.

Over the back and forth with Keria I refocus my attentions back to Amelia.

"How was the train ride?"

"Pretty good actually, I like it a lot better than flying. I got a bunch of studying done, got to take in the sights. It was overall just more relaxing. You should definitely try it sometime." She replied.
