Chapter Twenty-One

Wedding Dress Shopping

*2 months later*

Clarke's POV

I am currently in the car with my mom and the girls on our way to the local wedding dress shop called Tondc Boutique to look for my wedding dress. Bellamy and I have decided to have a small intimate wedding in California. Octavia, Raven, Harper, and Maya will be my bridesmaids and Jasper, Monty, Murphy, and Lincoln will be Bellamy's groomsmen.

We get to the boutique and the girls quickly drag me inside. They pull me over to the dresses leaving my mother to check in for our appointment. Anya, the consultant, has everyone choose a dress for me while she comes with me to help me choose one. Once everyone has chosen their dresses we all meet in front of the fitting rooms where Anya collects them and leads me into one of the rooms. Everyone else sits down waiting for us.

The first dress that Anya puts me in was my mothers choice. It has a lace bodice and long lace sleeves with a simple flowy skirt (^dress 6^), it was beautiful. I pulled my hair back out of my face before I make my way out to the small pedestal that everyone was sitting around.

"Oh Clarke you look so beautiful" My mother states with a large smile spread across her face.

I give her a smile as I wait for my friends to comment as well.

"I like the simplicity of it. It would look amazing with your wedding plans." Maya comments with a smile.

"I agree it looks very romantic" Harper agrees.

Raven and Octavia agree with everyone else before I go back to try on the next dress that Harper had chosen.  This dress has a floral lace pattern all over and it is a mermaid style dress, the neckline is a deep v-neck with short sheer lace sleeves (^dress 3^). I go out to show this dress and they all compliment it as well.

The next dress I try on was chosen by Raven. It was a plain white ballgown with a tight bodice and a deep V-neck (^dress 2^). It was very different from the other two dresses I had already tired on. I walk out to the girls and they are definitely not making this choice easy on me they have loved every dress I have come out in so far.

Next was Maya's pick, it was very similar to the dress Raven had chosen but the skirt was a little flowier (^dress 5^). Once again everyone loved the dress even me. I was beginning to lose hope but I continued to try on the last two dresses. Octavia's pick was a lace mermaid dress with long off the shoulder sleeves and a jeweled belt (^dress 4^). After showing the girls, there was only one dress left to try on which was my choice.

My choice was an all lace dress with short off the shoulder sleeves and a long train (^ dress 1^). They all thought this dress was beautiful as well. After I changed back to my original outfit the girls and I talk about all the dresses.

"They were all very beautiful Clarke" Raven states which we all agree.

"You're not wrong but I can only have one dress" I reply.

"Clarke you need to listen to your heart. Which dress makes you feel like a bride, like your about to get married. You need to be able to see yourself walking down the aisle to marry Bellamy." My mother explains.

Tears prick my eyes,  the reality of me getting married to Bellamy is finally setting in. I also realize only one of those dresses made me feel that way, the way my mother described. After paying for the dress, we get back in the car and head home.  Maya offers to keep the dress so Bellamy won't see it, so she takes it with her when we drop her off. Once all the girls and my mom are dropped off I head over to Bellamy's apartment where I have been staying for the last couple of weeks. Octavia has still been living with Lincoln so it is just me and Bell.

I get home and walk inside to see Bellamy sprawled out on the couch watching football.

"Hey beautiful," He greets as I lift up his head sitting down.

"Hi, how was your day?" I reply

"It was blah. How about you? Did you find a dress?" He asks looking up at me.

"Yeah, I did" I answer running my fingers through his chocolate curls.

"What does it look like?" He questions with a smirk.

"You are just gonna have to wait and see" I giggle before leaning down and kissing his lips.

"Can't wait"

Hey guys sorry it is late and shorter than my other chapters hopefully my next chapter will be longer and on time. It should be up by friday.

Also sorry if this chapter is boring and starts not to make much sense as you get closer to the end. It is currently 1:20am and I am super tired and I think I'm starting to get sick but I promised you a chapter so a chapter you shall get.

The dress she chose will be announced in the wedding chapter.
