Moving and A Proposal

*A month later: AUGUST*

Clarke's POV

Today Bellamy, Octavia, Lincoln, and I are moving to California. Lincoln had finished his degree here and is now going to be working at the local fire department while Octavia goes to school. Lincoln and Octavia will be moving into an apartment only a few minutes from her school while Bellamy and I will be moving to a house nearby as well.

Bellamy had asked to take care of the house because he wanted it to be a surprise and I hesitantly agreed. He is also paying for the house and won't let me pay no matter how much I argue with him. He said he has been saving money for years in case he didn't get a scholarship to Stanford and he had to pay for it himself. Apparently, he had saved a lot of money, enough to buy our own house. I wanted us to buy the house together because I didn't want him to waste all of his hard-earned money on a new house and not later having it for something else but he wasn't having it. Luckily though I got him to agree that I would get to pay for the furniture with my saved money. 

I was saving for college just like Bellamy but last week my mother told me about a college fund that my father had started for me when I was a toddler. I cried for hours, my dad had made sure to take care of his family even after passing away and it made me sad to think he wasn't going to be here this important moment in my life.

I am now currently putting all of my luggage into my jeep with the help of Bellamy. We had done the same over at his apartment this morning with his stuff.

"Is this the last one?" Bellamy asks picking up the box that was on my bed.

"Yeah besides this bag" I answer as I put in the last of my toiletries in my bag.

"Okay I will wait for you downstairs then" he replies walking out of the room.

I zip up the bag and look around my room one last time before I go downstairs to meet Bellamy, Marcus, and mom. My mom gives me a sad smile before she wraps her arms around me. 

"I can't believe all my children are leaving me all at once," she says and I am able to hear the sadness in her voice.

She was the same way with Bellamy but it wasn't as bad because it wasn't all 4 of us.

"Mom, it will be okay. We will come to visit and it's not like you can't come to visit us sometimes." I comfort giving her a tight squeeze before pulling back.

"I no, it's just not the same as having you at home"

I give her a kiss on the cheek before letting Octavia, Lincoln, and Bellamy hug her. I say goodbye to Marcus as they do before I pick up my last bag and we all head out to the cars. We all hug my mom and Marcus one more time before we all pile into our cars and begin our long drive to California.

~ At California: Bellarke & Linctavia are now at their separate homes ~

Octavia and Lincoln had driven off to their own apartment as Bellamy and I arrive at our home. Bellamy pulls up into a driveway and I follow suit. I am now sitting in front of a large two-story home, it looks beautiful. I get out of the car Bellamy by the front door.

"Do you like it?" He asks pulling the house keys out of his pocket.

"It looks great, you did a great job" I smile grabbing his hand.

He unlocks the door guiding me into the house then giving me a tour of our new house. The house looks amazing it is very beachy but still cozy and family-friendly.
