Chapter 7 - Hercules

Jason's POV
Was this some kind of joke? Were the Stoll's playing a prank on him? Jason rubbed his head he remembered waking up a few times to be hit continuously on the head again and again. The guys normally made fun of how Jason was knocked out during battles and even shipped him with a brick. I swear their so immature sometimes, Jason thought but this just didn't seem like their style once maybe but at least five times they could of killed him. He got up and felt the walls it was very dark wherever he was so it took a little time for his eyes to focus. The walls were hard and rough like some sort of sandstone and he could see a thick set of metal bars in front of him. He pulled on the bars but they didn't budge, strong titanium bars. He did the last resolve. "Hello?" He called out his voice echoing in the small space but there was no answer. "Hello?" He shouted again. This time he saw light flood in down the corridor and the unmistakable sound of a door squeaking on its hinges.
The light disappeared and Jason was plunged back into darkness, footsteps approached him and Jason sank back onto his bed. "Son of Jupiter." The voice sounded unamused and slightly bored.
"Yes and you are?" The man laughed a deep dark laugh which sounded bitter.
"I believe you already know me young demigod." Jason did not know this guy especially since he was standing just far enough away that Jason could just make out the outline of him the rest just looked like one shadow apart for his eyes that were a light green, his shape was tall and buff but he was clearly a mortal perhaps a demigod. "I don't mean to be rude or anything but I don't know you." The guy let out a grunt.
"For now you may call me Paul."
"Paul?" Jason tried to stifle a laugh, this guy- Paul was not a Paul.
"Yes." He snapped.
"So why am I here Paul?"
"Your friends Will and Nico," his white cruel smile was visible in the darkness. "they are currently facing a huge threat but you, I couldn't have you come along with them I knew you'd be a problem." Jason blushed he had secretly followed Nico and Will on their quest but he got knocked out when they first rested in the garden. He didn't like the thought of Will protecting Nico he just didn't trust the kid.
"Wait what huge threat?" The cruel smile grew bigger and Jason started to spark, he knew if Piper were here she'd charm speak Paul into telling them what he wanted to know.
"I have learned from my mistakes to tell you that, demigods have many weaknesses, do you, Jason Grace, know your own fatal flaw?" Jason pondered for a moment but he didn't really know no one had ever told him but he had heard that siblings of the same godly parent usually have the same fatal flaw like most of the Athena cabin have the fatal flaw of pride like Annabeth. "No." Jason said after a moment of silence.
"You are arrogant like most children of Zeus, you think you are superior to other demigods because your father is the God of all Gods, your sister Thalia shares the same flaw." Jason felt insulted he didn't think himself any more important than the rest of the demigods and he certainly didn't think he was the best one around. Or did he? He knew that being a son of Jupiter came with lots of responsibilities and people often looked up to him, had he somehow gotten into his head that he was superior. Paul interrupted his thoughts "I share the same flaw as you."
"So your a son of Zeus?" Paul was quite. "Hercules?" Jason asked but the man didn't respond.
"Get some rest Jason Grace I fear you might be here for a long time and Apollo awaits my return."
"Wait you have Apollo?" The man said nothing instead there was a loud patter of his footsteps as he walked away. "Hey! You have Apollo?" Jason yelled but the man had gone and he'd left Jason alone. He had to get out of here he just needed a plan.
