Chapter 10 - The Hunters visit

Piper's POV
Where the Hades was Jason? He'd been missing since Will and Nico had disappeared. Chiron said not to worry that he was probably with Nico and Will but Piper didn't believe that. She knew something was terribly wrong. She reluctantly pulled her dagger out it hadn't shown her anything forever but she thought that maybe today would be different. She stared at the blade intently for about fifteen minutes until she threw it across the room. "Urrgh!" Some Aphrodite cabin campers glanced at her. "Piper I'm sure he's okay." Piper rubbed her face ignoring the comment from her sibling what did they know?
"I can't just sit here!" She complained standing up abruptly. She pushed the door to her cabin open and walked down to the training area.
After taking her anger out on the dummy for a few minutes someone touched her shoulder, that was a mistake. She was in attack mode so she saw the person as a threat she grabbed the wrist and flipped the person over her shoulder slamming them to the ground. "Oww, do people enjoy flipping me?." The girls face was covered with her black hair but Piper knew who it was instantly.
"Thalia gods!" Thalia stood up and fixed her hair which good thing it was shortish other wise it would of been a nightmare. "It's okay Pipes." Her blue eyes were exactly like Jason's, an electric blue.
"What are you doing here?" Piper asked sheathing her sword.
"I heard about Jason from a close saytr friend."
"You came to help find him?" Piper asked and Thalia nodded in response. At least someone was concerned for Jason everyone just figured he was fine being a son of Jupiter and all. "You don't know how happy that makes me!" Piper hugged Thalia and she hugged awkwardly back.
"So how do you feel about joining The Hunt?" Piper raised an eyebrow she didn't want to be a Hunter.
"Ummmm thanks for the offer but I really love Jason and you guys-"
"I meant as in join us trying to find Jason." Thalia interrupted before Piper could start ranting about Jason. There was a slight awkward moment before Piper answered.
"So you think something's wrong too?"
"I talked to Percy he said that Nico and Will were alone and they hadn't said a word about Jason being with them."
"Gods, so he's been kidnapped." Piper said with almost certainty.
"I don't know but I'm not about to lose my brother again." Piper understood she wasn't about to lose Jason either. She sounded like a love sick teenager but she didn't care she knew something was wrong and if Thalia thought that as well then something was definitely wrong. Thalia dusted herself off and fixed her hair, her hair had grown into a short bob opposed to her normally punk short hair. "So are the Hunters in camp?" Piper asked Thalia.
"Yeah, we're going to play a game of capture the flag then get going the capture the flag is kind of a tradition." Thalia shrugged. The sun was almost gone and it was about one in the afternoon. Both walked back up to their cabins to get ready for the war game that they would have to compete against in.
(Six hours later)
The sun was gone completely now, Piper didn't know what was happening with the sun but she really hoped Will and Nico figured out how to fix it because if they didn't soon the earth would freeze over by the lack of heat from the sun. The sun is normally down for about 8 at night to 4 in the morning which means they had about eight hours before the earths temperate started to plummet. Piper was so distracted that she never saw Thalia sneak past her and grab the flag. "Stupid Aphrodite children always in a dream world!" An Ares camper shouted and Piper was so angry.
"So long Beauty Queen!" Thalia yelled. Thalia was about to jump over the creek and win when Piper focused all her charmspeak on the black haired girl. "Stop!" Piper yelled. Immediately Thalia stopped and so did a few other campers obviously entranced with the power of Piper's charmspeak. "You don't want to cross that creek." Piper said to Thalia who swayed, a few other campers looked at the creek with distaste.
"I don't?" She asked confused.
"No of cause not you want to bring the flag to me."
"I do?" Thalia asked taking a step towards Piper.
"Yes you want to hand me that flag and run away." Thalia came right up to Piper handed her the flag and ran away avoiding the creek entirely. "How's that for an Aphrodite child?" Piper said crossing her arms. The Ares camper grumbled and that was when Malcolm crossed the creek with the Hunters flag. He was head consoler for the Athena cabin since Annabeth had left for college, Piper ached thinking about her friend who she hadn't seen for quite some time. Everyone cheered which must of woke Thalia from her daze because she came storming, literally, onto the field. She was sparking with anger but even Thalia wasn't that much of a sore loser was she? "Piper McLean you tricked me." Piper couldn't help but laugh as Thalia conducted more electricity making her look fierce and a large ball of lightning. After she calmed down their was a scent of burning in the air. "Well played Piper, well played."
"No one calls me Beauty Queen and gets away with it well except for-" She stopped even though she knew Leo was fine she hadn't seen him since he supposedly died sure he had IMed but she hadn't actually seen him face to face. "except for Leo." and Jason she mentally added.
"So," Thalia said Piper just noticed that her hair was back to the same short punk style she normally had where it was shaved on one side. "shall we find my brother?" She asked putting an arm around Piper's neck.
"I'm ready when you are."
