Parade

"Oh, Luce look! They're starting the parade!" he grabbed Lucy's hand and pulled her along. A big smile plastered on his face, reminding Lucy of a really excited child.

They struggled to get through the crowd and manage to get a decent place to see the parade.

Magical. That word echoed through Lucy's head as her eyes were glued to the festivity in front of her. Big carriages decorated with so many beautiful decorations passed. It was breathtaking scenery, she couldn't take her eyes away.

"This is amazing! Does this happen every year? Wow!" big smile decorated her face. Natsu stares at her, mesmerized by the purest happy looking face he'd ever seen. 

She looked beautiful as the colorful lights from the parade pass through them. Her bright chocolate eyes fixed on the scenery in front of them. Sometimes they reflected the colorful lights. He decided to keep that scene in his head. 

The question left unanswered.

"Natsu?" Lucy

Pink blushed dusted her cheek when she saw that she was being stared at. He looked deep in thoughts but somehow she was flustered as his gaze was fully on her.

"Oh y-yeah! Annual town festival," it was his time to blush when he was caught staring.

Natsu's P.O.V

Dang...that was embarrassing. She caught me staring. But how can I not stare when she looked that stunning? Okay! Stop Natsu. Focus!

NORMAL P.O.V

Another carriage passed by. This time it was decorated somehow with winter decoration. Hmm... I did hear about this winter-theme carriage somewhere.

One carriage brought everyone's attention. It was a carriage decorated with water fountain and sort of ice sculpting, incredible winter theme considering it is in the middle of the autumn night. And then a familiar spiky raven hair stood in front holding hand with some light blue-haired girl. He has an awkward expression on his face.

"Gray?!"-"Juvia?!" 

Juvia looked very happy, while Gray he looked like he wanted to be anywhere other than there. Lucy was smiling softly. In her life, she rarely sees the blue-haired girl smile like that. Juvia was well a bit aloof, but everyone knows how she loves her family very much and everyone loves her as much.

Maybe the crowd was too noisy, their voice wasn't heard by Gray and Juvia. 

"You know that guy with Juvia?" Lucy asked. Natsu nodded. "Yeah sure, he's Gray. Known him since I was 2. Don't worry he's a cool guy. Your friend is safe with him," he assured.

Lucy looked skeptical at first, but who is she to denied that the 'couple' looks good together. The next carriage went by and Lucy saw a glimpse of a scarlet head to the crowd opposite of them. Erza saw her immediately and signaled her to not move and stay there.

A few minutes later she finally found her way to Lucy, she was heaving outbreathe. It must've been struggling to work her way in the crowd. "God, finally I've found you." she eyed Natsu from top to bottom. Natsu was shivering at the end of her glare.

"Erza, this is Natsu. He's our neighbor. The one I told you about," Natsu tries to shake her hand but she shrugs.

"Punk, you're 100 years behind to get Lu- mmmph!" Luckily Lucy manages to stop her from continuing. The pink-haired man raised his eyebrow in confusion but he made no further comment.

"By the way, I think its already late and we better get home soon. I don't know where Juvia is. Tried calling her but she didn't answer," Erza was as strict as ever. 

At the mention of home, Natsu face turned solemn for a while but he shook it off. It's not too safe for the girls if he keeps them too late.

It took them quite a while to locate Juvia. She was stuck to the raven-haired guy like a glue. Eyes glowing with happiness. Gray introduced himself for a while. They had a few chats and excused themself.

It was an eventful night, Lucy made a new friend and maybe Juvia has her new love interest.
