"What are you doing here?" Caleb asked bluntly. I ignore him, don't have any obligation to answer his question. "Let's start the meeting and you'll know why I brought him here," Darren said. He sat at the end of the table and order me to sat beside him. I recognised several people here, mostly are unknown. They are all either wearing a military uniform or just formal outfit.

"I'll go to Dorsemburg and discuss about the deal myself," said Darren. Everyone in the room got a shocking looks on their face and start protesting. They instantly become noisy. I tried to remember what the place is. I remember reading the name but not really sure.

"You can't!"

"No modern technology allowed inside their territory"

"Don't you remember what happened to the previous Lord?"

"People there are barbarian!"

"Going into political discussion will cost a lot more than going straight into war!" Caleb ends, getting support from the other. Darren just keep his composure, listening to all the protest.

I remember reading things about Dorsemburg, an old Kingdom rich with natural resources. Any neighbouring territory want to be their allies but they are not a friendly people. With mountains and open ocean surrounding their countries, it's not easy to make contact with them.

Their land is special. The only fertile place in Northern region which is able to grow common crops in cold winter. Their herbal medicine is the best, overcome the more modern chemical one. It also supported by their old tradition, keeping the advance old technology alive. Those which the knowledge have been replaced.

With the rich resources and advance knowledge, they are able to survive without much influence from the surrounding

But those can be seen as their weakness. With least allies, they easily become target from bigger countries. Their military is quite skillful though as they've able to defend their territory. It is also supported by the hard path towards their land. For now. I doubt they'll survive if a large countries combined their power.

"But the language.. Many lords had already experienced the consequences of it. They intentionally mistranslate our intention so we never reach a deal! Even communicating with them is so hard."

"I found a bilinguist," Darren said calmly.

The room becomes silent for a moment. People are looking at Darren in disbelief.

"What? How?"

"Are they even exist here?"

"Are you sure he knows Dorsemburg's language? That language is so rare among the bilinguist"

"Is he a defector from Dorsemburg itself?"

Bilinguist? Is that even a thing? It seems having a knowledge of multiple languages are so rare in this world. People start talking to each other, making the noise everywhere. Is this meeting always like this? No wonder Darren always need a place to relieve his exhaustment. I already feel stressed just thirty minutes sitting here.

"Who is this bilinguist?" One of them asked.

Darren looks hesitate to answer this question. "His identity remain secret and I'll meet him on my way there. What I want to discuss is what needs to be done when I was away," he said.

"Wait, Darren! We need to discuss who are you going to go with first!" said Caleb. Unlike his usual arrogant appearance, he looks really concerned now. "I've decided on it, and will contact them directly," he answered. Everyone looks unsatisfied, that's probably the hint that Darren should explain more. Darren give a long sighed before continuing, "I'll bring three guards and a butler."

"Wait! That's too little. This is uncharted territory here we're talking about," said Caleb.

"I'm going to be there for a hostile diplomatic discussion. We do not want them to be felt threatened," said Darren. "One of the knights would be Leonard, and the butler would be those who had combat experience," he said.

Ah! I remember hearing about this Leonard guy, the prodigy and this country best one. One unique thing is that he doesn't belong to the Royal guards, but end up serving the military. I think I have met him before but I'm not sure. I seldom meet people here, let alone attending an important meeting. But I overheard about this guy from the maids who are often admiring him.

"Okay, let's move on, I'll be away for at least a week and at most two. I need someone to maintain the region while I'm away," he continued.

Another discussion happened. I already feel so bored with all of this. Why he even bring me at the first place? I haven't found my relevance here.

"You don't plan on making him be the acting Lord right?" Caleb suddenly point his finger towards me and give an annoyed looks. You are not serious, right? "I won't," Darren said immediately. Thank God! "Caden is going to stay at the Summer Villa while I'm gone," he said. What? I'm not sure where the Summer Villa is, but if it means I have a chance to get away from this mansion, then... Hell yeah! I tried to contain my happiness and give them my usual poker face. Is this the thing that Darren want me to know? He did not need to bring me to this boring meeting just to tell me that I got a holiday. But yeah, it is still very good news! I can finally explore this world thoroughly. Hope this Summer Villa is out of town, a village would be better.

I was so excited that I didn't listen what they're talking about afterwards. Well more because I didn't really care. Before I knew it, people are already starting to stand up and leave the room. Darren still sit, read some paperworks. Like knowing that I'm going to leave, he held my hand to make me stay.

The door closed when the last person came out, leaving us alone. "Harry would take you to the meeting spot. You're coming with me," Darren said immediately. What? "Does that mean I'm the..."

"Bilinguist? Of course. Who else?" he said. Well, and here I thought I would finally have some private time.

"I don't know what language are they using. I probably could not understand it," I try to deny the idea that I would join his business trip. Darren looked at me and raised his eyebrow, "You'll go with me. I know it's one of many languages that you understand," Darren said in dominance. I feel the change in the air and I know it's one of his traits to make me obey him. I've been with him enough to notice this but still can not deny it.

I give him a quite nod before he let me leave.
