Chapter 12

I made a come back to the town! 

Darren suggest me to go on weekend but I really want to go on weekdays to get the feel of being a citizen. Today is Wednesday, Yuan finally gave me a permission to go out. Harry is with me so I don't really need to worry about getting lost. I plan to visit the clinic later and asked Nana about the omega.

I stop by a restaurant to have lunch after strolling around for few hours. Harry is here to make sure that I didn't skip my meals now. He kinda feel guilty for letting me skips so many meals before. It's not his fault, honestly. "Order me something good," I asked him. He gave me a pasta and some side dishes which are quite good. To tell you the truth, one of the reason why I don't really enjoy eating because I found the food on the household feels strange on my tongue. I don't like the taste.

Finishing my lunch, I stroll around the market visiting the parts I haven't been able to see before. I pass many office workers who head back towards the business district. It's weird to see people in suit strolling around the medieval market, but it's only me who see it strange. I want to explore the business district but I don't really know what to do there beside hoping from a building to another. Maybe next time.

"Oh you back Rene!," Nana greet me when she saw me entering the clinic. I smile and wave at her. "Rene?" I can hear Harry's quiet whisper. I give him a sign to just shut up and go with the flow. Nana's clinic, like before, is empty. I guess people here don't fall sick easily? "How have you been?" Nana asked me. "I'm fine," I answered her and then having a sit. "So, what brought you here today?" she asked, "you brought a patient again?" Nana look at Harry. "Him? No, he's my friend," I answered. "I'm just wondering about the boy from before," I said. "You mean Yuuri? The omega?" she asked. I never asked the boy name actually. "He left with the money that you gave him and never return here since then. Well, what can you expect," Nana said. I raised my eyebrow, didn't expect her sarcasm. "Do you live around?" Nana asked, "I never see you around the town." I smile to prolong my thinking a bit. "I live in the outskirt and got sick few weeks ago. I hope I can visit the town more often now," I half lying. Nana gave a concern look, "What happened?" she asked. "People here rarely got sick. They either injured themselves from fighting but not actually caught any illness. That's why my clinic is often empty." I just raise my shoulder, "the doctor from my house just told me I got a cold. Well, I used to live in Southern territory and recently move here."

Nana look at me curiously. I haven't done deep research about what diseases people are actually got here, but I got a feeling I was just not having a common cold. "Rene, can I do some test on you? I promise it would be free," she asked. I kinda surprise with her request. It gave me a few moment before agreeing. Nana smile widely and immediately move to get her things. "Caden, is it wise to do that?" Harry whisper to me. "She said it's a simple test. Just relax, Harry," I answered back calmly. Actually the other reason why I'm agreeing is that I feel Darren and Yuan hid something from me. Nana come back with a bunch of equipment. I don't know what are the test that she gonna do but I just go with the flow.

We end up spend too much time in Nana's clinic. I told her I'll return in one to three weeks from now. I say goodbye to her before heading back home.
