This was everything to me. To hold my beautiful boyfriend in my arms, to give him kisses, to love him, was everything I ever needed in my life.
"You know..I always had in mind to make you mine forever" I blurred out, not really thinking about it, not knowing if it was the right time to say it.
Dec's head came up from his chest and frowned at him. "What do you mean by that?" He asked and I knew I couldn't return now.
"Uh..well.."
I sat up, causing him to do the same and I fumbled with my jacket. Now or never I thought. If I was not coming back I would've regretted it and I was sure I wanted to make him mine.
"I.." my hands searched for a little object in the inner pockets and I found it where I put it, before we left home. I thought about it a million times before but I always thought about that he won't say yes or what if he would leave me..what if-
"Anth, you there?" I saw Dec waving a hand right in front of me and grinning at me, while I was deep in thoughts.
"So go on then" the grin turned into a beautiful smile and I could fall in love with that sight all over again and again.
"I know we won't be able to celebrate it properly and we would need to wait for me to come home..but"
Dec cupped my face in his cute smaller hands and gave me an assuring smile, so I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, before I opened them again and finally pulled out the small silver ring out of my pocket.
I stood up, jumped of the bed and kneeled before him.
"Declan Joseph Oliver Donnelly, will you merry me?"
The ring wasn't really something special, just a normal silver ring but I knew Dec didn't care. He just wanted something personal to hold on, when I am away.
"I wondered when you finally get the courage to ask me" he chuckled slightly and pressed his lips against mine. He tasted so sweet and full of love, well and biscuits.
"So it's a yes then?" I asked as I pulled away and looked at my beautiful man.
A single tear rolled down Dec's face, before he nodded slowly. I gently put the ring on his finger but before I could do so, he stopped me and I saw him in the eyes. A wave of insecurity came over me and I didn't know what he was doing.
He took the ring from me, kissed it and putt off his chain that I gave him on our first anniversary. He added the ring to it and put it back into my hand, closing mine with his hands.
"I want you too keep it, so you always have something that reminds you of me"
