Eternal Shadows: Moonlit Justice

Chapter 8

"This is actually a great time for you guys to be here. Ellie and I are investigating a case about werewolves and we found some information that might lead us to the werewolf who's on a murdering spree."

"That doesn't sound good," Marie says.

"Will you watch Gray?" Ellie asks.

"Of course." Ellie hands Gray over to Marie.

"You'll be good won't you Gray?"

Gray nods.

"Good boy. Alright ready?"
"Yep." Thomas and Ellie leave, on the way out Thomas asks, "Are you sure you're up for this?"

"Yeah, I'm okay." They shift outside and start to run the secret hideout mentioned in the newspaper article. It takes about an hour to get there. Once they get there, they shift back into their human forms. Thomas and Ellie creep around the outside of the hideout to find a way inside. When someone from the inside comes out, Ellie isn't quite fast enough to hide.

"You there!" the wolf shouts at Ellie.
"Me?" she answers.

"Yes you! What are you doing here?"
"Umm?"

The wolf grabs onto Ellie and drags her inside. "Shit shit shit," Thomas thinks, "Now what?"

Inside the wolf drags her to their leader. "Hey boss, look who I found wandering outside."

"You're an Ashfield twin, aren't you?"

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Ellie responds. The man, who dragged her inside, kicks her hard in the stomach.

(Gasp)

"Answer the question, you bitch!"

"No!"

"Take her to the cells." The man drags her out of the room and blindfolds her. Eventually she's thrown into a cell. She yanks the blindfold off.

"I'll be right back. I'm going to get my buddies, then we can have some fun."
"..."

When he comes back, there are two other men with him. They come into the cell and start beating her. When they're finished, they put handcuffs on her arms and hang her on the wall.

Meanwhile outside Thomas has found a way inside. He slips in unnoticed, he stays in the shadows, so they don't notice him. "Where could Ellie be?" he thinks. He continues to look around.

Ellie suddenly wakes up. She doesn't know how long she was out or how long she's been here, but she knows Thomas will find her eventually. There's a noise from outside of her cell. More men have come to beat her.

They come into the cell and unchain her from the wall. She falls to the ground, the men don't give her a chance to get up. They kick her around, and when they're bored of kicking her, they start beating her in a different fashion. Once they are done they cuff her to the wall again.

This continues for several days. Thomas is still in the hideout, he hasn't been caught, but he hasn't been successful in finding Ellie. He's been in contact with Mila, Matt, Marie, and Gray. He promised Gray that he wouldn't come home until he found his mother.

The men come into Ellie's cell, but this time they're escorting the boss man. Ellie has refused to answer any of their questions, so they decided to bring their boss into it. They unchain her from the wall and make her kneel on the floor.

"Who are you and who do you work for?" the boss asks.

"Wouldn't you like to know," Ellie answers curtly. He walks over to her and slaps her. "Doesn't matter what you ask me, I'm not answering."

"Hold her down." The men hold her down and the boss clips something onto each of her shoulders. He, then, switches something on.

It turns out that the boss has resorted to electric shock. It doesn't affect Ellie like he had hoped it would. She smiles and says, "Sorry, but electric currents don't affect me. I endured much more pain when I was tortured 3 years ago."

This angers him even more, he storms out of the room and returns with a syringe. He injects it into her arm. "This," he says, "is a strong poison, it'll kill any normal person within a day of injecting it."

She smiles at him, "Lucky for me, I'm not normal. I'm not affected by poison either." He starts to beat her. This goes on for several hours and when he has finally vented all his frustration on her, he leaves.

"Boys," he says before he leaves, "have fun with her."

The men force her on the floor and rip her clothes off. One by one they force themselves upon her. "Stop!" she cries out, "Please stop!"

When the men finally stop, they bring the bossman back in, "Have you decided to be cooperative?" he asks.

"No," she croaks out. He starts to beat her again. Once he finishes he leaves the room.

She starts to laugh maniacally. "What's so funny?" he asks angrily.

As blood runs down her swollen face, she smiles and says, "When my brother finds me, we'll kill every single one of you." (laughing)

He shakes his head and leaves the room. "Sir!" one of his men call out.

"What is it?" he answers.

"Look what we found!" The man has Thomas' arm in his hand.

"Good, throw him in there with her!" The man throws Thomas into the cell with Ellie.
