A young man by the name of Liam, is walking with his wife, Alice, through a dense forest. The night is dark, the only thing lighting their way is the full moon. He's leading her somewhere to show her something.

He stops in a quiet place, amongst the trees, so no one can see them. "Stand back," he tells her. She does what he tells her and steps back. His bones start to crack and his body turns into a wolf-like creature. Her eyes widen in fear, he keeps his distance from her as he shifts back into his human form.

"I'm sorry," he says, "I wanted to tell you so badly, but I didn't want to scare you off."

"What are you?" she asks in response.

"I'm a werewolf."

"What? How?"

"I was born a werewolf. My parents are werewolves too."

"Oh,"

"Don't worry, I won't hurt you. I'm a pureblood werewolf, which means I have more control over my shifting abilities." She cautiously moves toward him, pulling him into an embrace when she reaches him.

"I don't care. I still love you for you."

He sighs in relief, "I'm glad." Suddenly there's a rustle in some nearby bushes. A creature, much like what Liam had looked like, pounces out of the bush and onto Alice, knocking her over. Liam rushes over to her, only to find that the werewolf has already bitten into her neck. He rages, knocking the werewolf off of Alice and onto the ground.

Alice sees this as her vision blurs, "Liam," she whispers, "Liam." She blacks out and the next thing she knows, she's in the hospital.

As her vision clears, she sees Liam standing next to her hospital bed. "Liam," she whispers, "what..." "...What happened?"

"A different werewolf bit you."

"What! But won't I turn then?"

"Yes. I'll help you through it though."

She stays in the hospital two days before she is released. At home she tries to get used to her new found abilities. Several weeks after returning from the hospital, Alice shifts for the first time. Liam is with her, she crashes through their home and out the window. He jumps out to follow her, only to find that she's already gone.

He looks around for her in nearby places and eventually finds her unconscious next to a bloodied person. He rushes over to the person to check their pulse. It's still there, thank goodness. He calls an ambulance. Before going home with Alice, he finds someone to wait for the ambulance with the injured person, so he can take Alice home.

When she wakes up she's confused. "What happened?" she asks him.

"You shifted for the first time," he answers.

"What'd I do?"

"Well, you attacked someone." She pales. "Don't worry they're at the hospital right now."

She sits up and starts to cry. He sits down next to her and comforts her. "It's okay," he says quietly, "you didn't kill the person. That's the important thing."

"But what if I lose control again?"

"I'll be right here to help you gain control over your abilities."

"Okay."

Meanwhile the person who Liam had asked for help has called the police. Informing them that someone had been attacked by something, but they didn't know what.

The case is presented to the sheriff, who calls Thomas to ask for his advice.

"Hello?" Thomas answers.

"Hey, Thomas," she responds, "I need some advice for you."

"Alright, go ahead."

"Well, someone was attacked by something, there weren't any witnesses, and the victim is at the hospital right now, but the person who called in described her wounds."

"Alright, what'd they look like?"

"The person said and I quote, "It looks like an animal attacked her. There are bite marks and claw marks all over the place."

"Bitemarks? That can mean a few things."

"Like what?"
"Well, it could be a pair of vetalas, or a ghoul, or a werewolf." Mila is silent on the other side. I'll get Ellie and we'll head to the hospital to question the victim. We'll figure out what exactly happened."
