"Wow, Carlie, that's amazing." Monica dramatically gasped for the third time tonight. This time, Carlie was showing off her lego collection which she had managed to keep intact somehow since last Christmas, so she says.

Jackson watched from a nearby wall, just soaking his free time up. Completely glad he didn't have to deliver any fake expressions for his daughter tonight. Tonight, it was Monica's turn. As soon as she stepped through the door Carlie was pulling her to show her some toy or souvenir she had found.

Since it wasn't him, he realized how cute it was. Jackson already knew Monica was great with kids because she was well- a kindergarten teacher but watching her interact with Carlie just made him feel all gooey inside.

It was a weird feeling. A feeling just like when jinyoung began to tease him about having some type of feelings for Monica. Like a school crush type of feeling.

"Carlie, it's time to eat." Jackson decided it was finally time for him to have his own quality time with their guest. Carlie frowned and stomped past her father and into the kitchen.

Monica couldn't help but snort as she watched her climb into a dining chair with that same frown.

"Got time to talk now?" Jackson teasingly said while he walked up to Monica. She scoffed and straightened out her blouse.

"Actually, I want to go eat with my best friend." She jeered back jokingly. Earning an over exaggerated gasp to draw from Jackson. He clutched his heart like he was in some type of pain.

"I'm starting to feel like an outlier in my own house."

They shared their laughs and went to join Carlie who was now happily eating her dinner.

Dinner was finished, Carlie was asleep, and it was eleven o clock on the dot. Time flew during dinner. They didn't even realize it was late until Carlie almost fell out of her chair because she was knocked out.

Descending from the kitchen, Jackson and Monica now cuddled on the couch watching a movie. A movie they had argued over watching because one had already seen it and one had not.

Monica who was drowning in her own thoughts, obviously had already seen it. She was one to overthink, yes. But lately she's been a bit on the calm side with her own conscience. But the reason towards that problem was now sprouting a different problem in her head.

Jackson.

He's been helping her to be more care free. Whenever he was happy, she was happy. But this whole relationship thing or whatever they were doing was starting to get to her.

She liked Jackson. She liked him a lot. Monica had never been in a position in which she was uncertain about a relationship she had with someone. This was a first.

They act like a couple but it hasn't been verbally confirmed. And without verbal confirmation, she doesn't really know what to think.

So, she decided to get it for herself.

"Jackson, this might seem a bit out of place right now but.. what are we?"

Jackson's sight on the television quickly averted to Monica, who he was currently clinging onto from behind. "What?"

"What are we?" She repeated but this time in a whisper.

"I thought we were- you know- we- uh.. I don't know. What are we?" Jackson stumbled over his words. Not wanting to jump to any conclusions or invalidate what they've been doing for the past month.

"Are we dating?" Monica inquired.

"I guess so. We're dating." Jackson said that while trying to fight back the urge to smile like a complete and utter idiot. Monica was stationed in front of him so he could smile as much as he wanted.

"Good. I don't know what I wouldn't done if you said no."
