"I think, we should have a friend gathering?" Jackson suggested, his head on your stomach as you both relaxed in his bed. Carlie was with her mom for the weekend."Why? You know my friends- well, Jimin- and I know yours." Monica said, her fingers tangled in Jackson's hair.
"You know Jinyoung and that's it. Plus if we have the gathering all our friends can mix." Jackson peered up at Monica with a small smile.
Watching her as she thought. "We can play games, I have alcohol, it'll be fun," Jackson added.
Eventually, she caved. "Okay, okay. I'll can call Jimin and tell him to bring Taehyung."
Monica knew this gathering was going to be a bad idea. Wild men and liquor did not mix well in her book. They laughed loudly while she swept up broken glass of a vase Jackson and Jaebeom had knocked over when they had wrestled playfully.
Monica steered clear of the drinks that lined the island in the kitchen. Already knowing that she was going to have play supervisor over them. Even Jinyoung was tipsy.
"Monica, baby, can you get me another one?" Jackson yelled.
Since she was the only sober one it also meant she had to be a waitress for tonight. Ordering the pizza, brining them the drinks, cleaning up behind them. Being a kindergarten teacher paid off sometimes.
She rolled her eyes and inhaled. Dropping the garbage bag along with the broom.
"Sure." Monica stomped her way into the living room to snatch Jackson's empty beer can from him.
"I love you." He slurred.
"I know." Monica sighed softly. Shuffling into the kitchen to retrieve yet another can. Hearing that statement again deteriorated her upset mood.
He was drunk, Jackson was just spewing anything. They all were. Matter of fact the topic was about dinosaurs and chickens. There was nothing serious to be worried about at all.
But this night still remained one of her worst.
Monica grabbed the drink from the fridge and made her way back into the living room. Not even surprised to see a board game on the coffee table and all of them drunkenly trying to set up.
"Here." Monica decided a break was well deserved and retreated back into the kitchen where she could find some peace.
The next morning was better than the night before but Monica still woke up to a groaning and disgruntled Jackson. She drove the rest home last night since Jackson was the first one to pass out and the rest were growing tired as well.
"Good morning, having a nice hangover?" Monica greeted jackson as he shuffled slowly into the kitchen.
Jackson made his way to Monica and tiredly rested all of his weight onto her back. Wrapping his arms around her waist and nuzzling his face into the crook of her neck.
"Let's not speak of it." He grumbled. Monica continued to snicker while eating her cereal.
"How bad was I last night?" Jackson asked. Earning a snort from Monica.
"I'm pretty sure you and Jaebeom broke the vase your mom got you. Also, you pretty much ignored my existence last night but other than that you were fine." Monica shrugged.
"Oh my gosh. Baby, I'm so sorry. What did you do all night?" Jackson cringed just at the thought of his behavior last night.
"I picked up after grown men and spent my free time in the kitchen."
"You didn't drink?" Jackson went over to the fridge to get a bottle of water.
"I would've but there would be no one sober to look after the six of you." Monica informed, finding herself in a island stool.
"So, you had no fun at all?" Jackson frowned. Initially, this get together was for everyone. Especially Monica since he knew for a fact she didn't party much and wanted her to ease off some stress. But all it did was add more wood to her fire.
Monica shook her head, noticing the way Jackson's lips had stretched downward. "It's fine Jackson, as long as you enjoyed yourself. I wasn't in the mood for drinking anyway." She held her arms out for him.
With no reluctance Jackson wrapped his arms around Monica and she did the same to him. "The gathering was for you. I wanted you to have fun but all you did was work."
"Like I said, it's okay."
"Can I make it up to you?" Jackson gazed up at Monica.
"How would you do that?" She laughed.
"I'm treating you to dinner. No ifs, no buts." Jackson pulled away and started to exit the kitchen.
"Who said I was objecting?" Monica exclaimed.
