Sadly, the winter break was over and that meant back to school time. For Monica who was feeling anxious while greeting parents and her students, and Jackson who was just ready to see his girlfriend.

"Hey, pretty lady." Monica was caught off guard by Jackson with a peck to the cheek. There he was in all his glory, and Carlie. She felt her mind freeze up and it wasn't because her window was currently open.

"Hi, Jackson." Monica truly didn't mean to sound so cold towards Jackson. She was scared. After her talk with Jimin, she knew thank you wasn't the brightest response and that it probably really hurt Jackson's feelings.

"Hi miss Monica," Monica knelt down to hug Carlie. "Look I made this for you." Carlie handed her teacher a folded up piece of paper before jogging over to the cubbies to put her stuff away.

Monica unfolded that paper and immediately awed at the sight of what seemed to be a portrait of her. "She made it when you left because she missed you." Jackson informed, eyes focused on the real thing.

Monica looked up at Jackson with a warm smile. "I told you she's going to be an artist." She said.

"Maybe. But we have to talk, don't you think?" Jackson changed the subject. Monica's anxious feeling fell back into place and she gulped.

"Not here. I'm about to start class." Monica sighed.

"Okay, okay. End of the day?" Jackson said.

"You're early." Monica mentioned, a bit surprised with the time Jackson had managed to arrive; at the usual dismissal time.

"I was in the area." Jackson said nonchalantly with a shrug, his daughter already by his side.

"So, our talk?" Monica cleared her throat.

"Right. I noticed how awkward you were this morning and couldn't help but think that it was about the whole I love you thing. Listen, I shouldn't have dropped that on you like that because I know we're still new to this dating situation but I couldn't keep it to myself." Jackson rambled while handing Carlie his phone to keep her distracted. Leaving her to hug at legs.

Monica nodded. Glancing around to make sure no one was listening in.

"I sincerely do love you, Monica, I'm sure of it. And I don't mind that you don't feel the same. Just like with the promise ring, if we're still together, I'll wait as long as I can until you're ready. For me to propose, for you to say it back, I'll wait. Relationships take time so there's no need to feel bad that you don't love me. I mean, at least you like me."

Jackson backtracked a bit, "you do like me, right?" He narrowed his eyes. Monica scoffed and swatted his shoulder. His pearly smile coming back out for view.

"It's true. I was feeling bad because i didn't say it back. I said thank you for heavens sake. But I'm glad that I have someone like you to love me, you understand and you care. It's all i've ever wished for." Monica mumbled the last part as she tried to avoid Jackson's gaze.

"Awww. I'm your dream man." Jackson shamelessly pulled Monica into an embrace. Monica squealed and pushed him away immediately.

"Sir, I don't know if you can tell but we're in public." She rolled her eyes.

"Who cares? School's over." He pulled her back in.
