(Y/n)'s PoV.

The day was rather nice to say the least, for it being Ireland, it wasn't raining as usual. Though it seemed our Irish luck was to run out later today, because the clouds were already painting the sky in shades of grey.

As I was walking around town, I could see all of the happy couples. Most that have found their soulmates, some who are just wasting time with people who aren't theirs. I was only out in town to get a few things for my farm, but I happened to get side tracked, as usual, and found myself walking into an Arts and Craft store.

Walking towards the paint aisle, I walk past some horse paintings. See as my Companion is a horse, I bought a few, as well as the painting supplies. Walking back out to my 2016 Z71 Chevy Silverado red truck, I look up from the check list I had been carrying in my hand to see my Companion, Archer, awkwardly laying down in the flat bed.

I quickened my pace and scratched him on the nose on the way by to the driver's side. Earning a gleeful neigh from him at my friendly gesture.

After a slow drive back to my farm, I pull up to the front of my house, park the car and get out. Turning so I could let Archer out the flat bed, I am instead met with a dog.

"Uhh.. Hi?" I ask it, slowly. "Hi!" He replied back to me. "My name's Harley! It's great to meet ya!"

Harley? I pull my shirt collar away from my body to look down at my collarbone, and sure enough the name was no longer printed Archer in cursive black writing, but was instead, Harley. I have an Other? After all this time, I really have a soulmate?

I was so excited that I reached in the back of the truck, picked up Harley, and spun around a bit in celebration. "Whoa there, careful, I don't want to puke." He said to me, in an accent unfamiliar to me. American? He's from America?

"You are from America? Your accent is different." I asked him, my Irish accent being polar oppositein comparison. "Yeah, Tony and I are from America. We came here to get away from the busy life that is New York." He replied.

Tony.

That's his name.

My soulmate's name is Tony!

"Tony? Is that his name? What's he like? Does he enjoy the outdoors? Does he have a hidden talent? What is his eye colour? What hair style does he have? What-" I fired at Harley, my imagination and excitment getting the better of me.

"Whoa, slow your roll there. I'm not supposed to give too much information about him, but," he paused for a moment, thinking. "Yes. Cool. Meh. Nope. Honey brown. Hobo-ish." He said quickly, ending with what I'm guessing is a smile type thing.

However my interest has been sparked. And a whole new round of questions pop into my head. For the sake of poor Harley though, I will ask them slowly. First I shall show him around my farm.

"Here, let me show you the farm, and you can tell me more about Tony along the way." I say, and started heading towards the barn. "I have to feed the rest of my animals, and I still have to herd the livestock into the West pastures before it rains." I finished, quickening my pace a small bit to save time.

Now that I have finished feeding the cows, I have to feed the rest of my horses, and saddle up my herder, Irving. A tall, heavily built Australian stock horse. Seen as my brother had named him, his name means handsome and fair. He is truly a beautiful horse though.

With Harley at my heels, interested in everything I was doing, we make our way to the horse feed, and haul it to the North pasture where the horses are, in a wheel barrel. When we make it there, I ring the old, rusted cow bell that hangs on the gate, and call all three horses for breakfast. Sadly, by the time I get to them, it has already become lunch time.

"Here you go my beautys. Irving, eat up, we need to herd the cattle and sheep into the West pastures before it rains. By the looks of it, that'll be pretty soon." I tell him, looking up at the now completely cloudy sky.

Because my original Companion was a horse, I have learned how to basically communicate with them. Reading their body language, interpreting their different sounds, and understanding their ear/tail/eye twitches. It makes living with them a lot easier than if I didn't understand them like I do.

Irving looks up at me from where he is eating, not stopping, but turning towards me enough to let me know he wasn't going to hurry any time soon. So, with a defeated sigh, I head to my storage room and gather all the things I need for Irving and I to herd the animals. Setting it up in its proper, organized order, and waiting for him to actually take part in the herding.

Soon enough, he comes trotting his way down the aisle of the horse barn, and stands as he has been taught, to make the tacking process easier, and done correctly.

"You cheeky bastard." I mumble under my breath, being greeted by a wack to the face from his tail.

Guess he heard me.

After I had finished tacking Irving, I unclip him and replace his haulter with his leather bridle. Leading him by the reins out of the barn, I notice I have a new neighbor in the house five and a half acres to the left of my house.

He seems to have a lot of money to spare if he could by that literal brick mansion. I think I also saw a kid run into the house. Shrugging my shoulders, I continue leading Irving to a clearing infront of my house.

In a quick motion, I step into the sterup and gracefully swing my leg over the back of Irving. We slowly make our way to the vattle and sheep in the south pastures.

Harley, as interested as ever, watches from a safe distance of about three meters to our right.

Off to start the long process of herding.

End of chapter three.
