Once everyone had arrived and gotten changed, we were told to head out into the training fields, and I was joined by Son while going there "I hope you're feeling energetic today." He says "Yeah, why's that?" I asked "The manager is known amongst us for having a very hard training regimen." "I hope I'm up to it." I laugh "Ok everyone listen up!" Poch says "today we have a new player joining training, (Y/n) (L/n), please treat him well and teach him everything you know, he's gonna be here for a while." "Have you heard anything about Harry's and Lucas's conditions?" Hugo calls out "What I've heard from the physios and doctors is that both Harry and Lucas could be out of the squad for around 3 months." The whole squad groans "How do we have a chance at the league now?!" Kyle says "Kyle, if we stick together and put all our effort in, then we can overcome the tasks at hand and push forward with everything we've got." "Ok boss." "Now, today I'm gonna go a bit easier since it's (Y/n)'s first session, so we'll do passing and dribbling drills in groups of four and then a match, so get into your groups." "Well since Harry's not here today I guess you can team up with us." Dele says "Ok then." We made our way to our separate space on the training pitch away from the other groups and we were given some footballs. "So what are we doing then?" I ask "Are you familiar with rondos?" Jan asked "Yeah." "Good, Son you can be in the middle first." "Seems good." Son says
We trained passing and after that we did some dribbling drills, I wasn't the fastest but still faster than the average person my age. We had to be picked into two teams for the matches and our team was pretty good. It was a bold move splitting up the French bros, otherwise known as Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele, because they work so well together. Maybe they were split up so that they shouldn't rely on each other too much. The game then began as Team 1 kicked off, we were half way through the first half when things started to get intense. Eriksen had the ball and was going through our midfield, he then dribbled around our defence and shot at goal, Gazzaniga then saved it but Lamela was waiting at the back post and got the rebound. We then kicked off again and we were playing some Tiki Taka, we kept passing one touch plays each time. We then prepared for the attack. Ryan went down the left wing as I ran into the opposing team's box, Ryan then crossed the ball into the box and I got a head to it however Hugo was there to catch it. The whistle went and the first half was over.
At the start of the second half, Dele had made the break through their midfield but as Skipp was trying to slide tackle, he caught Dele instead by accident just outside the box. Since it was only a practice game, there were no cards but the free kick was still given to our team. As Son, Dele and I stood over the ball, we had a talk about our plan for the free kick. "So what do you think?" Dele asked Son "Well, it's too bad that we don't have Christian on our side. But I think I'm willing to let (Y/n) have a go." "Good idea." Dele said "(Y/n), how are your free kicks?" Son asked "I'm kinda good." "Great, so my plan is, I run over the ball first and join the wall, the Son you run over the ball and go to the side. (Y/n), as soon as Son gets near the ball, you run up and kick it so that the other team don't get a lot of time to react." "Ok." "Ready?" Son asked "Let's do it." The whistle blew and we carried out the plan, Dele ran over the ball and joined the wall, Son started running and got near the ball, I then started to run up and when I got to the ball. I kicked it with the inside of my foot and it curled. It looked like it was going into the top corner....but I hit the post. I heard some 'ohh's from the other guys but Son and Dele actually thought I did well.
We got a few more chances in the game, including Winks almost scoring but Hugo saved it, Son also got a shot on but that was saved and went out for a corner. We decided that I would take the corner, I waited for a couple seconds and saw Son run from the middle of the box to the front post. Once I spotted Son's run, I crossed the ball into the front post and Son headed it.......He scored!!! "Come on!" Son said and ran to me "Do that in the real games and we have nothing to worry about." Harry said "Thanks."
The whistle went for full time and we drew 1-1, we then went into the dressing room and were got changed into our regular clothes, while that happened, Poch was going through tactics and positioning with us. Once we finished with that, we were then allowed to go, I was with Dele, Son and Jan again. "So where we going for lunch then?" Jam asked "Back To mine maybe? I can get the chefs to prepare some stuff." Dele suggests "That sounds good." Son says "So (Y/n) rides with you then?" Jan suggested to Son "Seems good, meet up at Dele's place, see you in a bit." I then followed Son to his car and we put our kit bags in his boot. We then got in and headed out of the training ground. When we turned the corner out of Hotspur Way, we saw some people with Spurs merch standing at the side of the road. "Let's pull over." Son said "Sure."
The people were one woman and a boy and girl who were presumably her two kids. Son then rolled down the windows. "Hi guys." He said "Oh my good, it's Heung Min Son!" The boy shouted "Hello." I waved "And who's that?" The mother asked the boy "Him? I think he's our new player, (L/n)." "Yeah you're right, you're gonna be seeing me playing a lot of matches in the future." "Really, what position do you play?" The girl asked "I play stiker." "But we have Harry Kane." The girl says "About that," Son says "Kane's injured so you won't see him for a bit. Anyway would you like autographs and photos?" "Yes please!" They said Son and I then signed their stuff and took a picture with all of them, we then said goodbye and headed back on the road.
We got to Dele's house and we parked the car, Dele then opened the door and let us in the house. "Wow, this is a really big house." I said "You better get used to it, cause you can have something just like this one day." "One day." I sigh We then made our way into the dinning room and there were already meals placed on the table. "I hope you're all ok with cod fillets." Dele says "That's fine." I say while taking my drink out of my bag
