Part 53: Moving Out

After the events of the final Premier League match, Joseph, Sonny and I were asked to do many interviews for many different news outlets, which we had all said yes to. First up was a physical appearance on Good Morning Britain.

"So today we are joined here by the newly crowned Premier League winners, Son Heung Min, Joseph Park and (Y/n) (L/n). So first off, welcome to the show and congratulations on your win." One of the presenters, Susanna Reid, said.
"Thank you for having us." I said
"It's nice to be here." Joseph smiled
"Thanks!" Sonny also smiled
"As an Arsenal fan It pains me to say this, but you deserved the win in my opinion. You won the Premier League on the final game on Saturday, coming back from a 3-0 deficit to win 4-3 in extra time. Can I ask what happened in the dressing room at half time, because when you stepped back on that pitch you turned into a completely different team." Piers Morgan, the second presenter, said
"Well I think what changed for us was our attitude towards the game, I was furious and had completely lost hope and then Joseph hit me around the face and told me to get my stuff together. I think that was the turning point for the whole team because that first half literally felt like a slap to the face." I responded
"I think our win was due to (Y/n)'s and the boss's planning at half time, they devised tactics that combated Everton's." Joseph answered
"If you ask me, I would've said that the team morale took a turn for the worst, and then (Y/n) and Joseph had an argument. I think seeing the younger players like that made the older players like myself sympathise with them. And we just felt we owed it to them to try in the second half." Sonny said

"Ok, so (Y/n), according to Spurs's outgoing records for their finances, it's said that you are only making £2000 a week. You have been such a key player this season so why didn't you ask for something more?" Piers asked
"Well to be honest the way I see it is money can't by class or trust. I don't need fancy sports cars or a whole 25 bedroom mansion, all I need was the backing from the gaffer. And besides why should I be paid like £350,000 when I'm only 16, it doesn't make sense to me. Also I'd only get a bigger house if I'd have someone to share it with or if I needed extra room for when I'm training because I can only have so much equipment in my small gym at home."
"To be honest that is one of the best responses to a footballer talking about their wage I have ever heard." Piers said
"I only try to speak the truth."
"Joseph, you were at Atlanta until January of this year. Why did you choose Tottenham Hotspur when they have had a lack of trophies for over a decade until now?"
"Well, to be honest I basically joined because of (Y/n), when he came to America to tell me about Spurs I originally thought 'why did they send a random kid to talk to me?' But then that random kid ended up being the reason I joined. While it was great back at Atlanta, I don't regret moving because my old coach even told me I should move on."
"That's very interesting, what exactly did you see in (Y/n)?"
"Myself. I saw a younger version of myself, a kid who had the whole world in front of him, ready to take it on one step at a time. I hadn't even heard of him before I met him, but when he came to talk to me he felt like someone I could trust, someone genuine."
"And it has turned out good for you hasn't it, being at Spurs."
"Yep, it's been fantastic."
"I bet it has, ok now Heung Min Son. Being at Spurs and winning your first title with them, what's that like? You've finally achieved your goal."
"Honestly I couldn't be happier, sure winning with the Korean national team was good but at Spurs, I'm with these guys every day and we've built one of those unbreakable bonds that can last for a lifetime."

The interview continued for a while and it was actually really good to just talk about everything at Spurs, a couple of days later Joseph and I did a video call interview for ESPN and a few days after that we did another video interview with Sonny for Yonhap News in Korea
(Fun fact, I actually did an interview for Yonhap News but it didn't get aired T_T)

A week later
"Ok, so with that you are both scheduled for another interview with SkySports on the 25th so it'll be when you are in Istanbul and- HEY! LISTEN TO ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!"
Joseph and I, who had been playing on Fifa then looked to Alice who was reading our our schedule over the next few weeks
"Sorry." We said, pausing the game then looking at Alice
"Honestly, I didn't become both of your agents to not be listened to. Anyway in two days, Joseph will be doing an extra training session as planned by Pochettino."
"What about me? What will I do?" I asked
"Well I got an email from some guys on YouTube who do football, they call themselves F something, so I emailed them back and said you'd do a video with them when Joseph is at training."
"F2 Freestylers?" I asked
"Yeah that's them."
"How comes (Y/n) gets to do a YouTube video but I have to do training, it's not fair." Joseph whined
"He gets to do the video because it's good publicity, and (Y/n) already does extra training so stop moaning. Honestly you act like a child sometimes."
There was then a knock at the door
"I'll get it." I said
I walked over to the door and opened it, revealing Sonny.
"Hi (Y/n)."
"What are you doing here?" I asked, confused
"Alice invited me, she asked for my help with looking after you two."
"Ok? Come in, make yourself at home."
Sonny then entered the living room and saw lots of moving boxes.
"What's all this?" He asked
"Didn't I tell you, since the boss gave us huge bonuses for winning the Premier League, Joseph, Alice and I gonna move into a new house together." I said
"Why? What's wrong with this one?" Son asked
"I can't train as much as I want to here, the new place is also way closer to the training ground and it's got room for a football pitch, a swimming pool and a gym so that we can train even when we're at home. And since Alice is my agent now too, it's better if we'd all just move in together instead of Alice having to travel in between households every day." I explained
"I see, I remember when you asked Alice to be your agent, you were so nervous." Son laughed
