I went outside only to find a car and Jan Vertonghen to be waiting for me. "Jan? Why're you here?" I asked "How do you think you're picking her up genius? An Uber? Nope, I'll be your chauffeur for the evening." He said with a smile "Did Son call you?" "Yep, now hurry up and get in, you have to be there by 8:30 right?" "Right." I go to get into the front passenger seat but Jan stopped me "What are you doing?" He asked, somewhat sarcastically "Getting in the car." I said slowly "You don't know how this works do you? You get in the back, not the front. Jesus Christ. You know sometimes I wonder if you have a brain." He says jokingly with a hint of seriousness.
On the way there, Jan was giving me tips and advice on what to do and what not to do during the date. I made sure to take mental notes on everything he says so I could remember them later. "So (Y/n), where are you taking her anyway?" "The restaurant at the shard." "Oh wow, something you can actually do right, great dining service as well as a perfect view, you chose good kid." "I don't know whether to take that as a complement or an insult." "Take it as a compliment, anyway we're gonna get there soon." I look out of the window and see a florist, I then got an idea "Jan, can you stop here for a minute? I need to get something." "Sure."
I got out of the car and went into the florist, I then pick out a bouquet of some light red roses, I then pick it up and head to the counter. "Good evening, how may I help you?" The woman behind the counter asked "Can I buy these please?" "Sure, would you like to add a message for the occasion?" She asked "What occasions do you have?" "Weddings, funerals, birthdays, anniversaries, dates. We have a lot of different options." "Can I have a date one please." "Sure, there a three different ones right now, first is 'love of my life', next is 'my light' and finally 'beautiful flower.'" I thought about it for a minute, I automatically dismissed the first option, I felt it was a bit too cringe and weird, the second one was better but not too good either, I felt the word 'my' wouldn't be an very inviting term since we haven't been together for long. But the last one, it was perfect. "Can I have the last one please." "Alright, let me just wrap it up for you." While waiting, I look over to my left and see a TV, there was a weather broadcast 'It is expected to rain heavily from 9pm until 11pm so make sure to take a coat."
5 minutes later "Oh flowers huh? Nice idea, you're finally getting the hang of this." Jan said "Thanks, so how long left until we get there?" I asked "Around 10 minutes, you don't need to panic we'll get there on time." We were in silence for most of the rest of the journey and I was growing nervous with every passing second. "You know, I can see you shaking in the rear view mirror, you have nothing to worry about, as long as you remember what I taught you." Jan says "Right." "Anyway, we're here. Go get her, kid."
I take a deep breath before exiting the car, I take the flowers and hold onto them. I then go to the front door and knock twice. I then heard some fumbling around inside before the front door opened, revealing Ji-ah. "Ah, (Y/n) come in." I enter the dorm and there is no sign of Ryujin, or the rest of Itzy. "Please, take a seat." Ji-ah says I then sit down on the sofa "I've gotta say, you're looking really handsome today (Y/n)." "What, am I not handsome normally?" I laugh "Nope, and besides calling you handsome in front of Ryujin would make her jealous. And one more thing, you're way too young for me anyway." "So where is everyone?" I ask "Just getting the finishing touches ready." Just then, I heard a door open and footsteps coming from down the hallway.
Yuna then entered the living room, followed by Yeji, Chaeryoung then Lia and finally, Ryujin. She was wearing a beautiful black dress which case just about to her knees with long sleeves. She was wearing heels which were shorter than regular ones and her hair was let down. "Wow." I heard the giggling of the other members and then I thought to myself 'Did I just say that out loud?' "You look really beautiful." I said Jan's Rule Number 1, Compliment her but not too much or too little "Thank you, You look really handsome." Ryujin replied shyly I then remembered I had the flowers in my hand still "Here, I didn't know what flowers you liked so I took a guess and got you these, I hope you don't mind." I then give her the flowers and her smile got a little bigger "Thank you so much, I love them."
"Ok let me take them, I'll get a vase to put them in." Ji-ah said, taking the flowers from Ryujin After a few minutes, Ji-ah came back with a type of camera which I hadn't seen for ages

"A disposable camera? I haven't seen one of them since I was a kid." I say "What? Are you trying to make me feel old?" Ji-ah says "Sorry." "Whatever, ok now stand together you two." "Wait what?" We ask "I'm taking a picture, JYP wanted one and we're also getting one for us and (Y/n)'s teammates." "My teammates?!" I say "Yeah, they called earlier and asked to get a picture of you two together." "Agh, fine I guess."
"This feels like he's taking her to prom in one of those movies." Yuna said to the other members "I thought it was called homecoming." Chaeryoung said "Don't ask me, I have no clue." Lia responded "How about we just say instead of prom or homecoming, it's a dance." Yeji chimes in "Yeah that works."
"Ok pictures are done, are you two gonna stay with us or go on your date?" Ji-ah says, ushering Ryujin and I towards the door "Are you trying to kick us out?" Ryujin asks "Maybe." "Ok fine, we're going, bye guys." "Bye! Have fun!" They all said They then shut the front door and we were left outside. "Let's go." Ryujin said excitedly, jumping around like a kid "Alright alright, I'm coming." I laugh
A/n: I didn't really realise how long this date we gonna be, the whole prepping and date we're supposed to be just one chapter, but I guess I'm writing too much.
