Chapter 12: Going out with Kirishima

We went up to the monitoring room and met Team Ashido along the way. Mina was with Aoyama in their team. Kirishima and I wished them good luck, Bakugou, however, did not say a word to them. When we reached the monitoring room, I was immediately greeted by the remaining girls of the class.

"(Y/N)! How was the mission?" Ochako asked excitedly.

"Was it hard?" Tooru whimpered.

"We were watching you guys," Yaomomo informed me. "There were hidden cameras everywhere that didn't count as you guys getting caught. You guys did great! But Mr Aizawa removed some scores due to you guys being a bit loud..."

"What happened in that broom closet though?" Tsu questioned. "It was too dark for the hidden cameras to see and we heard you guys arguing."

"Not to mention how you dashed out but someone grabbed you and pulled you back in," Ochako rubbed her chin as she added. The memory I repressed came back to haunt me. I remembered Bakugou's grip on my wrists and my back against the wall.

I hung my head low as my face was burning up. Ochako cupped my cheek and lifted my head up. "Oh my god!" She exclaimed. "(Y/N)! You're burning up! Are you having a fever?" She looked at me with a concerned look on her face as well as everyone else.

"N-No, no! I'm good..!" I nervously stuttered while waving my hands around.

A voice called out from a group of boys. "(Y/N)!" Kirishima stepped out and approached me. The girls backed off as he moved. "So, was that a yes or no? To my question earlier?" He smiled with a raised eyebrow.

I thought for a while before I nodded and smiling, "Yeah, sure! I don't mind going out with you later." Besides, what could happen? Kirishima threw a fist into the air as he cheered. He told me to see him outside the school later and he walked back to his group of friends. Also, I don't think it was what I thought it was. But I thought I saw Bakugou glaring at either me or Kirishima. The girls who stayed quiet slowly turned their heads to me.

"Kirishima? Seriously?" Kyouka wondered out loud.

"It's only been a week, (Y/N)!" Ochako whined. "And you're already going out with a guy!"

"I honestly thought you and Bakugou would be the ones to go out," Tooru admitted. "I guess you and Kirishima were next in line if Bakugou didn't work."

"If you ask me, Todoroki would be a better choice," Yaomomo tapped her chin.

With every comment they make, the redder my face becomes. "G-Guys! It's not like that!" I stuttered. "We're just going out to eat as friends..!"

"I'm gonna bet that Kirishima doesn't see you as a friend," Kyouka shrugged and I tilted my head at her. Does she mean that Kirishima hates me? Reading the expression on my face, she corrected herself by saying, "I mean like he doesn't see you as just a friend."

"You guys are too much!" I exclaimed, flustered. "It's the same as going out to eat with one of you girls."

"Girls," Sero called out to us and we turned around to face the screen. "They're starting their mission. You don't wanna miss it!"

School has ended. Everyone did well this morning, though Team Ashido failed and Team Hagakure scored the top, everyone still tried their very best. During lunch, I ate with the girls and I saw a girl with purple hair not from our class trying to talk to Bakugou, who was ignoring her with a bothered face. Who was she? Why is she trying to talk to Bakugou? I wonder what her deal was. Whatever, I shouldn't think about it too much. I stood outside the school gate, waiting for Kirishima. The girls have already gone home so I waited alone.
