Bakugou and I started packing up after that. I drank a hell lot of water to soothe my throat. As I covered up my bottle, a person's shadow walked up behind my own. A pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist and a weight pressed against my back. I couldn't help but grin when a head rested on my shoulder. "Yes, Bakugou?" I acknowledged his presence. "What do you want?"
"Go to my place tonight," Bakugou whispered into my ear, his breath hot on my skin. "Just for dinner."
"Are you sure?" I asked him and he nodded. His eyes were half-open and his lips formed a pout. Is he trying to give me puppy dog eyes? "Well, I guess I haven't seen your parents in a long time. How're they?" I questioned.
"My old man's as soft as ever," Bakugou rolled his eyes tiredly. "The old hag still loves shouting at me." He sighed as I giggled at his reactions. "What're you laughing at, you idiot?" I shook my head as I kept my mouth shut just to mess with him. "Hey! Answer me when I ask you something!" After a while, Bakugou got genuinely pissed. "Damn it, if you don't open your mouth and tell me, I'll open it for you," he gave me a cruel smirk.
"Excuse me?" I raised a brow at him. "And how are you going to do that, huh?"
"Dumbass," Bakugou leaned in. "You're so stupid." He gave me a quick peck on the lips, making my face burn up. "Now talk."
I playfully rolled my eyes. "Well," I started. "You should be more respectful to your parents."
"Ha?" Bakugou dropped his jaw. "Why should I? That hag is always yelling at me," he argued.
I shrugged and his head was still on my shoulder. "At least try and avoid calling them 'old man' and 'old hag'," I suggested.
"Damn it, Nensho," he growled at me. "Don't tell me what to do, idiot." Bakugou lets go of me and I turn around with my belongings in my hands. His hands were in his pockets and he started walking back to where we entered the clearing from. "You're coming to my place, alright?" He spoke without turning back to me. "They would like to see you again." I nodded and hummed, despite knowing very well he can't see me. It was a quiet walk towards Bakugou's home. He led the way as I was following right behind him, my eyes glued on my phone. I was so busy reading stories on this app called PadWatt that I didn't notice Bakugou stopping in his tracks, making me bump into him. "Ha, I knew you'd be so busy with your phone," he mocked. "What're you doing anyway?" Bakugou walked to my side and I immediately exited the app. "What was that?"
"N-Nothing," I lied, obviously. I wouldn't want him to know that I read such unholy things. "A-A-Anyway," I attempted to change the subject. "Why'd you stop?" I asked.
Bakugou put an arm around my neck and pulled me close to him. "The silence was getting on my nerves. I kept looking back 'cuz someone might kidnap you," he explained.
This jerk. I rolled my eyes and said, "Are you trying to say that I can't take care of myself again?"
"Yeah, so?" Bakugou grinned at me. "You angry 'bout that?" I furrowed my brows and gritted my teeth at him. He took a good look at my face. Whenever his eyes scan me, I "You're so... Cute when you're angry," he chuckled.
"Say that again and you're barbeque chicken, mister!" I threatened him with a big smile.
"You wouldn't dare!" Bakugou shouted.
We both stopped to look at each other before laughing. "Damn, we're like little children," I commented.
"I'd keep going back in time just to be with you longer," Bakugou muttered softly.
"W-Won't you just get tired of me?" I asked. "If you'd keep seeing me?"
"Tch, dumbass," he growled. "I'd never get tired of you, you hear me? If you see me talking to another woman, know that I'll never see her the way I see you," Bakugou reassured me. "Damn it, you really got me talking there." He rubbed the back of his neck. "You wanted to hear all that, didn't you? You sneaky brat." Bakugou grabbed my furthest shoulder from him and pulled me towards his side. We continued walking in the direction of his house in silence. I didn't really bother to reply to the thing he said. "Nensho, I..."
"Hm?" I looked up at him and he tilted his head down to me.
"I... I lo... I lov..." Bakugou gritted his teeth, stopping himself from whatever he was about to say. His face was slightly pink out of embarrassment. "Damn it, I can't say it! I wanna say something to you but why can't I say it?" He asked with a confused yet stressed expression.
I chuckled, "Maybe spell it out? That'd work."
"Tch, I was just about to do that," Bakugou scoffed. He breathed in and out before saying, "I... L-O-V-E... You."
I pieced the letters together. My response to him was a gentle slap to the arm. "Asshole, you really couldn't tell me straight away!" I scolded.
"Not my damn fault I physically can't say the word!" Bakugou defended himself.
I laughed at us again before saying, "Whatever, Hot-Shot, I love you too."
"We're here," Bakugou announced after giving me a smile. We turned to our side and there it was. We entered his home, and we were immediately greeted by his father.
"Welcome back, son," the man smiled at us. "And I see you aren't alone."
"Katsuki?" His mother's voice was heard loud and clear from the second floor. Not too long after, she was running down the stairs and up to us. "Why'd you come home so late... (Y/N)?" Her attention was immediately on me mid-way through her sentence. "Is it really you?"
I nodded, "Yeah, it's been a while."
"Are you kidding? Hell yeah, it's been a while!" She exclaimed gladly. "When was the last time I saw you? You were so much shorter and cuter back then!" The mother joked.
"I-I'm not cute now?" I asked in a confused tone. This slightly irritated Bakugou as he gritted his teeth.
"Cute? Hell no," she commented. "Beautiful? Absolutely." She smiled at me before pulling me in for a warm hug. "You've grown so much! Not gonna lie, when you were kids, you were my favourite out of the three."
"What about me!?" Bakugou yelled.
Mrs Mitsuki let go of me and literally smacked him before pinching his cheeks. I knew she was aggressive like her son but this caught me off guard. "You yell at me again and I'll replace you as my all-time favourite!" They looked like they were about to explode any second. Damn, how does the father live in a household like this? I wonder how much they argue in a week.
"Come on, you two," Mr Masaru tried to stop them. "We're scaring (Y/N)."
"Oh, right," Mrs Mitsuki turned to me. "Have you eaten dinner yet?" I shook my head side to side.
"She's eating here," Bakugou stepped in. "I wanted her to eat here."
"You must be hungry, (Y/N)," Mrs Mitsuki grabbed my wrist and pulled me to their dining room. "You wait here, I'll go cook something up for you, alright?" And just like that, she swiftly left the room.
