for anyone who's going through rough times rn and needs to hear this: dump his ass. don't make excuses for someone who wouldn't do the same for you.

When Kaycee packed her suitcase, the one thing she didn't really prepare for was going out on any of the nights. Sure, she had cute clothes, but were they really party-worthy?

When Josh and Sean came into the room, Tahani and Kaycee were practically tossing clothes left and right, their entire bed covered in stuff they deemed not cute enough. Taking one look at the scene, the boys slowly turned around and began to walk back out again, but much too late for Tahani had already seen them.

"Hey! Josh! I saw you walk in, you can't leave yet!"

They freeze with Sean's hand on the door handle, who simply shrugs. "She said Josh, not me, so looks like this is on you bud-"

"You too, Lew," Kaycee says in exasperation. Huffing, he lets his hand drop as the two reluctantly walk back into the bedroom, Josh firmly shaking his hand while the other pats his back as if they were heading into a war they wouldn't come back from.

The boys stand awkwardly by a wall as the girls rummage through a collection of pants, shirts, and dresses. Tahani finally finds one she believes to be worthy, and turns around to get the boys' opinion, holding it up to her body and posing.

Josh shrugs. "I mean, I think it looks good-"

"What do you mean, you think?"

"Oh don't read into it like that, I just say I think before I talk a lot"

"Well I think you should probably stop doing that-"

Kaycee had become very aware over the past few days of the obvious "thing" going on between Tahani and Josh. When she asked about it, Tahani denied it entirely, but every time they were together they argued and then teased each other like an old married couple. She was beginning to realize it was easier to pretend it was normal than to ask about it and get the same negative answer.

As their bickering continued, she entered her own little world, until she felt a presence a little too close to her back to focus. She glanced over her shoulder to find Sean peering over at all of her clothes, eyebrows raised.

"Yes? Can I help you?"

He chuckled. "I mean, you're the one who asked me to stay, so you tell me."

She shook her head. "I didn't ask you to stay, I just agreed with Tahani about seeing you guys trying to leave. Which was so obvious it's not even funny."

"I wasn't trying to not be obvious, I was just trying to leave before I could get roped into this," he muttered, "which I am now, so thank you"

Chuckling, she came across a black jean skirt and reached for a bright yellow crop top before Sean audibly said "Nope" and grabbed her arm to redirect it to a black and white striped shirt instead. She suddenly realized how close he was to her, practically leaning on her back, and had to take a second to breathe.

"You're really close to my back, you know. You can scoot over," she finally breaks. He takes this as an opportunity to get even closer just to spite her, purposefully close enough that he was just barely touching her.
