"So.... have you guys heard about dancer prom yet?"

The question came from Jade, who sat directly across from her. Charlize, beside Jade, and Tahani, to her right, both nodded enthusiastically. A friend of Jade's named Sam and a friend of Tahani's named Audrey sat at the head of the table, and both looked confused out of their minds.

Kaycee shared that sentiment. In fact, she wasn't exactly sure how she agreed to this in the first place. Or why. Lunch with girls she barely knew (and, in Charlize's case, didn't like) should have been something she instantly turned down. But thanks to peer pressure on Tahani's end, here she sat, listening silently to each girl rant about things she couldn't really relate to.

This supposed "dancer prom" was their newest topic of conversation. She gave Jade a confused look, who simply smiled. "Oh, don't act like Sean hasn't already asked you, Kaycee"

Her face heats up, Tahani giving her a light elbow nudge. "No, he hasn't asked me. I didn't even know it existed until you asked about it, he probably didn't either"

Tahani turns to her with a wide grin. "Tricia, Janelle, and Will are working together to do a little prom thing for us dancers, since the majority of us never really got to experience prom. It's this Saturday, and basically everyone's going. You are too, now"

"Says who?" Kaycee jokes.

"Says all of us," Jade replies. "Me and Josh may or may not be going together... Josh Killacky, not Tahani's Josh"

Tahani grins. "It better not be my Josh. He still hasn't asked me yet, but something tells me he'll do something big"

"Same here!" Pipes in Sam. "Tobi said he has something exciting in the works... I'm so excited."

She feels a buzz in her pocket that gives her the perfect excuse to look away, and her eyes instantly catch on the name Sean on the screen. She grins.

She almost chuckles out loud. She knew he had no idea.
