Suddenly it dawned on her, she was standing on her childhood door step, after four long years.... Swearing to never look back, let alone come back! Yet here she was, practically a new woman, with a new purpose in life. Her family, her man, and her baby... somewhat.

It dawned on her that Maurice had pulled all of this together even before the argument about the baby. Before the sleeping in separate beds, speaking to each other as if they were complete strangers rather than the lovers they were a few days ago.

It dawned on her that her man was so in sync with her, that he knew what was about to happen and how she was about to feel, even before she did.

Suddenly she felt more in love with the man behind her who was gently nudging her closer to the door, to knock, or something that would make the Fenty/Braithwaite household aware of their presence. The presence they would hopefully be anticipating with excitement, rather than the resent she feared.

Knocking as gently as she could, her heart sunk to her stomach. She grabbed a hold of Maurice, stepping slightly behind him, as the door opened a jar. A dark brown eye peeking through the gap before it shut and reopened fully.

Maurice greeted the older women, who was the exact replica of Robyn. The woman smiled brightly as she caught sight of her daughter, looking even more grown and mature than she was expecting. Soon enough they enclosed each-other in a big embrace. Sobbing into each others neck just how sorry they were for how things ended four years ago, both thanking Jah for this moment of reunion.

The two pulled away to look at Maurice, the eyes staring back at him read thank you. He smiled, genuinely feeling happy seeing his future wife happy.

"Come here!" The older woman spoke before they welcomed him into the now group embrace. More tears were shed from the three of them before the older woman managed to pull herself together enough to invite the couple in.

"Mama, this is-"

"Oh I know very well who this is! Welcome to the family Christopher!" Monica beames

Looking back at Maurice, she couldn't help but beam

Looking back at Maurice, she couldn't help but beam. After an emotional reunion with her mama, she felt a sudden wave of calm wash over her. Her brain wasn't plagued with any kind of worry, stress or negative thought... For the time being she was simply being. Something she hadn't since the whirlwind that was Christopher Maurice Brown happened, and although she didn't mind one little bit being swept up in all that was him. She didn't realise she needed a second to breath it all in. Breath him in. Never really giving herself a second to appreciate just how blessed she was that he found her, that he was given to her for the sole reason of saving her. And, she guessed, in saving her, he in turn saved himself.

She hadn't even given everything that had happened pre Christopher a chance to digest with her, she was over fighting, because it was a fight she couldn't win. And knew she wouldn't win. Aubrey being too vindictive and willing to take advantage of the shell of a human she once had become in the hands of him, the maker of that shell. She was far too naive at her young age, and too damn manipulatable.

Suddenly, she felt the overwhelming need to hold him close, curling her index finger at him. He watched on, allowing whatever was going on in that mind of hers to work itself out, he knew interrupting would disrupt her entirely. Her brain never coming back to that thought, daydream or revelation that it was currently working through. He blinked, making sure that she was indeed gesturing to him, before he allowed his mind the power to move his desperate legs to submit to her want.

"Thank you... I mean it Maurice, thank you! I realise I haven't said this enough, fuck... If at all! But I mean it now, and I promise to never stop appreciating everything that is you, until my dying breath- our dying breath!" She shyed away from his gaze, her heart speaking faster than her brain could overthink her words.

"God meant for our paths to cross, our meeting was predetermined, written in the stars before we were even a thought.... im- I'm so damn sure of this Maurice, how? I don't know. But you were meant for me, and I, you." She beamed as she felt lighter, all of that weighing her down lore than she expected it to.

"And this bean, our child was meant to be too! If they weren't then I know for damn sure Jah wouldn't have blessed us with them. What I'm trying to say is -"

"Marry me."

"What?"
