Chapter 3

LISA'S POV

This is "the day". I am already anxious the moment I open my eyes earlier this morning. I can't wait to hear it from Bambam.

I am currently on my office now. Feeling too giddy and all. Damn, I can't even do a paper work. It's only noon time and I decided to go out to eat my lunch and to breath. I feel so suffocated in my office.

As I am about to finish my lunch, my phone suddenly rings. I fetch it out of my pocket and saw Bambam's calling me. I nervously answered his call.

"Yow, Bam. What's up?" I answered trying to act cool.

"Hey Lis. Can we meet up later?" He sounds so serious.

"Is it about the proposal?" I asked.

"Let's just talk about it later. I'm about to go on a meeting. Bye." He suddenly hung up without me saying goodbye.

Now I lost my appetite because of nervousness. Why is he so serious? Does my proposal declined? Haayyss.

Trying to distract myself, I went out to do just random checking.

JENNIE'S POV

After discussing to the board regarding my decision, I let the PR team draw the contract and pass it to the legal team for checking. I asked them to set an appointment with the CEO of Pad Thai Restaurant to discuss matters with them. I don't want to have the same problem so I want to point out to them what I want to happen.

As I am reading reports, my phone rang and saw Jisoo calling.

"Hello, Jisoo. What's up?" I asked upon answering.

"Jendeuk, let's have lunch together. I am craving for Thai food since my co-model told me that she's flying to Thailand next week." Jisoo whinned.

Speaking of Thai restaurant, might as well check the main branch of Pad Thai so that I can also check their service.

"Okay. Let's check out Pad Thai Restaurant. Meet me there in 20 minutes." I told her.

"Great! I'll ask Nayeon too if she can come with us. See you. Bye!" She said excitedly.

"What a baby." I thought while smilling.

She's about to get off her car when a familiar figure of a woman was about to ride her car. She felt like her heart stoped beating for a while. Memory flooded her mind and she's not aware of her tears until she felt like her visions were blur. She shooked her head to clear up her mind and told herself to stop crying.

Then her phone rang. It's Jisoo. Maybe she's here already and will ask where she is. She composed herself before answering the call.

"Yah! Where are you? Your office is nearer but I still managed to get here first!" Jisoo yelled at the other line.

"I'm already outside and about to get off when you called. I'll be there in a bit." She dropped the call without saying goodbye.

"It's not her. You're just mistaken." She told herself. She fixed her make up first before getting of the car.

"At last you've arrived. I'm famished!" Jisoo whinned while Nayeon just smiled at her.

"Let's order then." She forced herself to smile just to avoid questions if they noticed that something is off with her. But I guess, they know me too well to figure out that something is wrong with me.
