JENNIE'S POV

"Jennie.." I snapped back to reality when I heard her say my name. My heart then beats frantically. As I see her face again, the scars from the past is slowly opening up. The sleepless nights, the river she cried because of this girl is coming back.

She then stands up. Tried to hold my arm but I quickly moved backwards.

I am trying to recollect myself. I have to be cold and professional. Although I wasn't expecting to see her, I still have to push through the contract. It is already decided by me and by the board. I cannot back out from it anymore.

With the thought of that, I am one big of a stupid person not to even bother knowing who is the owner of that freaking restaurant. Damn myself.

I cleared my throat and tried to speak as calm as I can ever be.

"Good afternoon. So, you must be the CEO of Pad Thai Restaurant? I am Jennie Kim. CEO of Kim Hotel." I told her with a straight face and cold tone.

She was taken aback by my approach. Maybe she's confused why the hell would I have to introduce myself to her?

Once she regained her composure, she finally was able to speak.

"Lalisa Manoban, CEO of Pad Thai Restaurant." She told me while extending her hand for a hand shake.

Funny enough. It happens that I knew her full name just now. I only knew her as Lisa before.

I did not bother to accept it, rather, I just sit down and turn to Mina.

"Mina, kindly make a coffee for me." I told her then glanced at Lisa. "Do you want coffee too?" I asked her just for the sake of proffesionalism.

"Water is fine. Thanks." She replied.

"Please give her water and my coffee." I instructed my secretary.

"Just a moment, Ms. CEO." She bowed and quickly went to the pantry to prepare what I asked her.

While waiting for Mina, I handed the contract to Lisa then speak.

"Here's the contract, if you want to read it first and consult your attorney, feel free to do so. Just send it back to my office tomorrow morning if you agree." I told her in dead tone.

"Jennie, can we..." I cut her immediately.

"It's Ms. Kim, Ms. Manoban. It's not proper to address me on my first name. We're here for business."

She sighed. "Alright, Ms. Kim. I was told that you need to discuss me something but it seems like you are in a hurry?" She asked.

"Well, I got some more important things to do rather than spend it in this meeting. My secretary will just discuss with you my do's and don'ts if you want our partnership to be smooth. If you have anything to ask or demand, just inform the PR team. I am leaving now." I narrated then stood up. Just in time when Mina entered the conference room.

"Here's your coffee, Ms. Kim. And here's your water, Ms. Manoban." She politely said.

"Just bring the coffee to my office, Mina. Our meeting is already finished. And I'll have some words with you too after discussing my conditions to Ms. Manoban." I told her then glanced at Lisa.

"I'm going now." Not waiting for her response, I stormed out of the conference room and went straight to my office.

After I shut the door, I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves. "F*ck! I don't want to cry." I told my self but my tear glands betrayed me because tears just fall down on my cheeks.
