LISA'S POV

Last night is the best night of my life, so far. I never thought that Jennie would warm up to me sooner since she's acting cold and distant to me since we met after 2 years.

After I arrived home last night, I immediately sent her a message just like what she told me. And then she simply replied, "it's nice to know you're already home. Good night."

I did not sent her a message anymore after that cause I want her to rest. I don't want to creep her out. Like what I initially planned, I want to take things slow this time.

Tomorrow will be another busy day for me. It's Monday, meaning we have to start with the renovation. I am focusing on their main branch first since it should be the one to have more priority. Me and my Dad already talked about it and agreed on dividing the branches so that we can check on them at least once a week.

I am also looking forward for tomorrow. Hoping that Jennie will drop by the site to also check on our work. It's just a wishful thinking, I know. But still, there's no harm in wishing.

Then Monday came. I went to the site a little after lunch time since I want to see a progress before I visit and check on their works. Besides, I still have to manage and monitor our other branches too.

As I look around, I am kind of impressed with their works. The contractor hired many workers so almost a quarter of the works can be done within the week if they will keep their phase. I am realy impressed by them. I mentally noted that I will give this team a raise if they will be able to finish their work in a span of one month.

I was looking around then I saw Jennie approaching us. Maybe she's also here to check on what's happening.

"Hi. How's everything going?" She asked me casually.

"Well, everything is fine. I think we can make it earlier than the target time if they will continue to work this fast." I answered.

"Very good then. The earlier you finish, the better." She said while nodding and looking around.

"Ahhmm, Jen? Do you mind to have coffee with me? If you are not busy, I mean." I hesitantly asked.

"Hmmn. I guess I still have a few minutes. Let's grab something at a nearby coffee shop." She answered after looking at her watch.

We went to the coffee shop she's referring and I can say that their place is good. I like the ambiance and the coffee too.

"Are you a regular here?" I asked her after a few minutes of silence. She then laughed softly without answering.

"Yah! What's funny?" I asked her.

"It's like a déjà vu." She said and smiled.

"What do you mean?" I still asked confusedly.

"Well, that is also what you asked me before the first time we met in a cafè." She said then sipped her coffee.

"Oh yeah. I remember now. Hahaha" I laugh a little while rubbing my nape.

"You never changed huh?" She teased me.

"I just wanna start a conversation and that's the first thing that came on my mind. You still love coffees I suppose." I said not minding her teasing.
