The little (y/n) Ikari lived a normal life with both of his parents, they lived in Tokyo-3, one day his mother disappeared, after her funeral (y/n)'s father started to ignore his own son, he never saw him on the house, he never was with him on dinner time, the poor young boy was alone... One day his father came for him, the little boy was so happy, his father told him that they would have a funny day only the two of them on a summer camp, they got inside his father's car after gather all (y/n)'s things, it was a long tripp into a very far place so the little boy started to sleep... When he awoke he didn't saw any camp or any other kid, he only saw a very gross street, his father opened the door and told the little boy to pull out all of his things, once he did his father drove the car as fast as he could, the poor boy tried to reach him but it was worthless, his tiny legs weren't nothing against that fast machine, the boy yell to his father but he only disappeared at the distance... The poor boy was tired, hungry and to make it worse alone... He grab his things and walked across the city, he was starving... He buy food and some candies, it was the last of his money so he had to eat slowly... He walked many miles more until he reach a cold weather place... He heard someone screaming... He saw two police officers grabbing a red little girl, she was scared, her face was scared like she was lost... "Don't hold back you monster!" One of them said, the other laughed and threw the girl to the snow "You just came from a very weird portal, what the h*ll are you?" Those words mean she wasn't from there, the officers got her inside a dog jail and started to walk away... The little (y/n) followed them to a police station, he saw how they throw the little girl into a jail "This is where you belong" they laughed, the boy waited there for hours until those officers exit the place, (y/n) quickly broke the window of the little girl's jail with one rock "Come here, i swear i won't hurt you" he said, the little girl walked towards him "You must be lost don't you?" The little girl only nodded and then her stomach grow with a very scary sound... "Are you hungry? I can share my food with you!" The boy said while taking of some of his food supply, he gave her a candy and she ate it making happy noises... "If you want to come with me i will do my best to take care of you" the little boy said, after that moment neither of them were alone, they had each other company, they spent together for a week, he taught her many things like words and that she had to cover her feet from the cold, she started to talk to him only calling him darling it made (y/n) blush many times, because she was so innocent and she doesn't knew the meaning of that word, he asked her name but she didn't say anything so he only tought "Could i call you... Zero Two?" She smiled at this and from that moment he called her like that... One day, she got sick, but they were in the middle of nowhere, she started to tremble in the cold land, he hugged her on a tight hug to provide her with his warm body, he stay like that until she was sleeping... the next day they continued their walk but she got worse... She only said "Darling" the little boy started to cry while saying "Why? You really love me? If you do, then you're the only one... My father leave me to die? Why? I don't want to die and i don't want you to die!" The girl got close to him and hugged him from behind "Darling" he smiled shyly and said "When we grow older, i want to marry you... I promise you to become your darling" the both loose their consciousness due to the cold weather they suffered all the time... The boy awoke, he was on a hospital, he look side to side until a nurse came to the room "You're alive that's a miracle!!" The boy didn't care about himself he only wanted to knew where his friend was "Where is Zero Two?" The nurse took a step back "Sorry boy but you were the only one where we found you..." The little boy started to cry while asking "She's in another room right?" The nurse gave him a warm hug "We sorry, but we found you on the snow with your things, you were freezing on the floor" the little boy had the heart broken but he wipe his tears while looking down, he made a weak smile "So... When they said you didn't were from here... They said that because you're a fallen angel? You fell from heaven but now you went back?" Nobody Understood what he was saying, even himself couldn't understand it.... Years of pain started, the boy never had a moment of serenity, at first he didn't wanted to live anymore he tried over and over again, he started to read and looked for a job, by time he forgot everything about the girl healing his wounds (not all of them), but along that he developed a life style, he couldn't let any other people suffer, he didn't wanted to saw another victim of the cruel destiny he had to live... He was happy somehow, he got a work at a shop unknow to him, his father sent money to him to his boss... One day, he recieve a card from his father, to meet him on the place where all started, Tokyo-3, the young boy believed his father, after all he wanted to face him and knew his reason to leave him eight years ago... But deep inside, he knew he wanted to see his father again. When he arrived to Tokyo-3 he noticed nobody was there, that was weird but then he saw a creature walking while many combat aircrafts shoot at it...

Neither of their attacks did something to that monster, which was getting close to the young boy, he was saved by a girl named Misato, she was someone sent by (y/n)'s father to bring him to NERV quarters, but they had to drove away before a deadly proyectile blow trying to kill the monster, it didn't work... When (y/n) got inside NERV he only saw his father who only told him "Get into the Eva (y/n)" of course, many years of suffering got out and he refused, that when he realized he had no say in the matter because if he didn't do it, a seriously injured girl would have to do it instead, he felt the urge to protect her with no sense reason to him (it was a feeling to his broken heart) so he was willing to Pilot the Eva...

He got inside and he though he was about to drow into something orange called LCL but he didn't, his synchronization was very good, even if he didn't had a special suit, he tried to defeat the angel but he wasn't strong enough, the creature broke Eva's hand and made a hole on her right eye and threw her to a edifice, the boy was too scared to act but then he didn't realized at all was that the Eva 01 moved by her own and killed the angel, while she regenerate her hand and eye... The Eva 01 loosed her mask and while she was infront something like a mirror, (y/n) saw her true face and he loose his consciousness again... After that day, his adventures to kill Angels started, he only wanted to protect that girl, to his heart deep inside Rei resemble that little red girl from his childhood, he was protecting her from his father...
