Salem:
"Destroy Myserien?" I echoed.
She nodded, "If you don't she will continue to come after you."
I had no guilt in killing a monster but...I don't think I could. I definitely wasn't strong enough and she was a fallen angel. How would I be able to stop such a being? I couldn't – there was no way. I didn't know what Akjan nor Azul was thinking.
"You will," she spoke softly, drawing my attention back to her, "Because you have something Myserien doesn't."
"A demon dog?" I asked sarcastically.
"A human heart."
A frown stretched onto my face, "I don't understand."
"You will. Now it's time to go, Akjan is awaiting you with your dog friend."
"Right," I whispered not understanding how I'd beat Myserien.
But for Enirr I would try. That was my vow, because he had saved my life too. Over and over again. Azul smiled, noticing my sudden determination. She then stood and I was quick to follow her lead.
"Come," she hummed as if I wasn't already following after her.
We went back down the confusing hallways – this time vering into a large room with dark, winding columns and black marble flooring. The room was lit with few hanging lanterns and in the middle of the room sat a sort of black throne. A cold shiver danced down my spine as I looked around the very gloomy and sad place.
How long had Enirr sat here alone in the dark?
Much too long.
We moved closer to the throne and there, sitting in Enirr's seat was Akjan. Her green hair was now a deep shade of black, her golden eyes watching us silently. She wore a sort of tight, chain-mill armor of silver and in her hand was a rolled up piece of paper. At her feet was Cerberus – who happily bound over.
"Welcome Salem," she smirked.
My hand stroking Cerberus's head as I asked, "How do I save Enirr?"
She giggled, "By being yourself. Are you ready to face Myserien?"
Face that horrible woman again? Absolutely not, but it's what needed to be done. So I nodded my head – not trusting my voice to not quiver or back down. I would save Enirr no matter what it took.
"Then it's time," she giggled again, snapping her fingers.
I gasped – my breath being sucked out of me as the world around me spun and shook. Clutching onto Cerberus tightly, I shut my eyes. Finally the spinning came to a stop and I stumbled forward. My knees giving out as bile spewed from my lips. My stomach definitely did not appreciate this – it felt like I had partied for days without stop.
Find Enirr, good luck Sally. Akjan's voice whispered in my mind and I looked up in confusion. I was back at the club? Only this time it seemed like someone had set up a brothel. Or an orgy. Around me people were going at it like rabbits.
"What the fuck?" I gasped.
Cerberus growled lowly. Looking down at him I saw he had his nose in the air before he began to bolt through the room. Cussing at his quickly, I attempted to follow – without touching anyone around me.
"Enirr," I called as he lead me out of the room and down a red velvet hall, "Enirr where are you?"
Better yet, why did he come to this nasty place to begin with?
