Chapter 10 - Another Friend!

Next morning, I went to Garden early after breakfast. Mendes was still at his usual place. I pulled his hair!
"You shithead! Why didn't you tell me that it was Daniel's party!" I shouted at him.
"Ahhh! Leave my hair first, please!"
"Now tell me the truth!"
"Remember, I was going to tell you something, yesterday, when Queen Isabella took you with her...?"
"Yes..."
"I was going to tell you but there was no time."
"Ok, Ok, I'm sorry."
"Now tell me, everything went well? Did you find your Prince Charming?"
"Oh, stop teasing me. And yes, everything went well."
"Thank God, I was worried."
"Mendes, I want to visit Survania. My beautiful homeland turned into a Savannah. But still, I love it."
"Alright, I'll take permission from King Bruno, then we'll go tomorrow."

"Oh, Oh, I've to go!" I panicked and left in a hurry without a word.
"Hey! Everything ok?" He shouted from behind.
"Oh yes yes, don't worry." I answered without turning back and ran towards my room.
I took out a casual but pretty dress. And asked Isabella for permission. She allowed me but to go with Lamia, my maid, and return in time. Instead of going with carriage I decided to go on my skateboard so I could drop Lamia.
"Lamia, please, do me this favour, I'll give you your favourite chocolates."
"But the Queen..."
"Oh, don't worry, I'll handle it. Just stay in my room until I return."
"Alright... But do return in time."
"Promise!"
I took my skateboard and finally got out of the Castle alone, after a long time. I reached the Wendy Bridge on time, he was already there.
"I thought you'll not come."
"I stand by my statement."
"Ahan. I like your confidence."
"Thanks a lot."
We talked about a lot of things for more than an hour.
"Hey, you came on a skateboard?"
"Ugh.. yes..."
"You're super cool really! A Princess on Skateboard... Strange."
"Haha!"
We talked for some more time and I wanted to stay but I was getting late.
"Bye!"
We left giving eachother a hug.
I returned and sneaked in the Castle quietly.
"Oh Thank God, you returned!"
"Thanks, Lamia!"
"Always, your Highness!"
I fell on my bed. Just thought about the Royal Dance and the moments spent with him. I had really fallen for him.
"Mendes...?"
"Now what can I do for you?"
"I'm not here for work... I wanted to tell you something..."
"What is it?"
"Eh ... I've fallen in love with someone..."
"Really? And who is that unfortunate person?"
"Shut up, stop making fun of me..."
"Alright, Alright, who is that dumb ass?"
I gave him a dark eyed stare. And he laughed sarcastically.
"Sorry, Sorry, stop staring me. Now tell me."
"Prince Lorenzo."
"Where did you find him?"
"At the Ball, I danced with him. And I met him today. He has become my friend. Do you know anything about him?"
"He's not a dumb ass. You're a dumb ass!"

"I feel like I know him, but I'm not sure. You didn't even ask him that where is he from?"

"Come back with complete information."

He laughed again. And I continued staring him.
