Chapter 20 - Surprise!

After tea, we went to the Dark Forest. Down the treehouse, there were lightings and party arrangements and all.
Mendes kneeled on the ground in front of Lilith.
"Ohhh Lilith! Will you marry me?" I teased.
"Hey! That was my dialogue!"
"What if I ruin your date?"
"Don't even think about it, please."
"Haha!"
Lilith accepted Mendel's wedding proposal and they kissed.
"And what about mine?"
"You also wanna kiss me?"
"Yuk! No! I asked you for something!"
"I've brought the stamped marriage papers somehow. Now do whatever you want. Even I've arranged the cake too."
"Oh Mendes! Thank you so much!"
I climbed up the treehouse.
"Honey?"
"Get lost."
"Oh darling! Come here. But oh, you have chains around you. Wait for me."
I went to help him with the chains. And he tried to make me fall.
"You bloody...." I threw him out of the treehouse with chains around his feet and hands so that he can't run.
I came down and he was lying still as I kicked him out. I threw him straight down from a 10m tall tree. Thank God he didn't break any of his bones.
"What now!"
"You're gonna marry me right now!"
"No! Never!"
"Oh Mendes, get my baby ready. "
"No!"
Mendes took him to the hunting cottage of mine just at some distance from the treehouse.
I changed my dress. Women in Survania used to wear black on their wedding day. I decided to continue the tradition and changed my dress into a beautiful black gown. Sprinkled some glitter on it. I wore a pair of flat black slippers.
"Oh sister! You're looking so much beautiful!"
I was talking to Lilith when Mendes came back. Mendes' head was bleeding from side, not much.
"How did that happen, Mendes?"
"Ah, nothing, just didn't see a tree in the dark."
I used my telepathy.
"Don't lie, Mendes!"
"Oh, please, forgive me and him, Mallory..."
"How could you... Mendes!"
We all started looking for him, everywhere in the forest. And oh, my goodness. A group of tribal people were camping near the darkest part of the forest and they were binding Lorenzo with a rope.
"Wait!"
They all turned towards me.
"Don't attack me. I'm just here to take him with me. We won't cause any harm."
"No, I don't know her! You had better kill me!" Lorenzo shouted.
"Oh, he's just a mad guy. Tell me the price, I'll take him."
And one of them changed into a long black King Cobra.
I was astonished. He did so to scare me, but I was happy to see it.
"No! It can't be!" Lorenzo was about to cry.
I smiled. And changed my form too and rattled my tail for that Cobra.
They all kneeled down to see me, a cobra with purple eyes and a crown on head.
"Hail Princess Mallory of Survania!" They all shouted together. I found out that there was a prophecy about me but I didn't have much time to know about it. I made them a promise that I'll restore Survania soon. I took back my property that is Lorenzo, to the treehouse location.
