Chapter Eleven

Elizabeth's P.O.V

I woke up in bed alone, which is normal on count of Jack's job. Jack's usually gone by the time I get up and get ready for work but today was different I just couldn't figure how. I sat up and looked up at the clock, it's 10:30am... I rubbed my temples trying to ease the headache I woke up with as I got up and started towards the bathroom, I stopped at the door when I heard the shower running "What the hell" I whispered, slowly opening the door "Good morning beautiful" Jack smiled, standing there, fully undressed "You gonna take a shower with me or ya just gonna stand there and stare" He smirked "Is there any way both is an option?" I smiled "I'm sure that could be arranged" Jack replied...

"What are you still doing here?" I asked stepping into the shower with Jack "It's Saturday" he replied in a questioning tone "I thought it was Friday" I said in a confused tone "It was... Yesterday... Are you okay?" Jack asked "Yeah... Just a little behind" I chuckled "I hope it's Saturday, cause if not I'm late" Jack laughed

*Time Skip*

Jack and I got out of the shower and Lilly had breakfast ready when we got downstairs...

"Heyyy, so Felix is gonna go with me to get Scooby... You can still go if you want I was just letting you know" Lilly smiled "I actually might stay here, I woke up with a headache" I smiled "Okay, we're leaving in about an hour so let me know if you change your mind" Lilly said making her way upstairs...

*Time Skip*

Lilly and Felix had left about an hour or so ago. Jack had 60's through 90's music on the stereo system, which quietly played throughout the entire house. "Has your headache gone away?" Jack asked "It's eased up a little" I replied "Ya wanna dance?" He asked as Elton John's "Your Song" started playing "Honey, I've got to finish payroll" I sighed "Just one dance... Please" Jack smiled "Fine. Just one" I smiled. "Why are you doing payroll on Saturday, I thought you did it on Wednesday so it goes through by Friday" Jack said in a questioning tone "Well, I do normal but everything crashed Wednesday so they told me to do it today and it should go in Monday" I explained "Ohhh... That sucks... What exactly are we having for dinner?" Jack asked "Uhh, I think Melissa said something about homemade Chinese food or tacos" I said, laying my head on Jack's shoulder as we swayed to the music "Those are two entirely different things" Jack chuckled "They are but that's what Chris suggested" I replied "I'd prefer Chinese" Jack said "Me too honestly" I agreed...

The song ended and I went back to what I was doing. Just as I was about to hit submit the site crashed again "Are you fucking kidding me?!" I yelled "Elizabeth, it's okay... We'll do it on paper later I'll help you... Put it up and take a break" Jack smiled "I have to finish this tonight" I sighed "Yeah, I know baby but you need to just put it away for now" Jack said. I closed my laptop with a sigh and began to put everything away when the doorbell rang "I got it" Jack said almost sprinting to the door... I continued picking everything up and took it upstairs, not paying attention to whoever came through the door...

Author's P.O.V

"Is she okay?" Melissa asked Jack "Yeah, the payroll site thing keeps crashing" Jack replied "Oh, that's annoying" Chris stated. Jack nodded in agreement and went into the kitchen...

Elizabeth came back downstairs, smelling strongly of peppermint oil "You smell like a whole candy cane" Melissa chucked "I've had a headache all day so it's worth it" Elizabeth replied "Ya know, I could get you put on medicine for those" Melissa said, referring to Elizabeth's migraines "I'm sure you could but can you find something that the insurance would cover?" She asked "I'm sure I could, it make take a bit but I'll find something" Melissa replied "Okay, I'll try but nothing has been working but marijuana and I can't use that no more because of Jack's job" Elizabeth replied "I could probably get you a card for it, but you can't share it" Melissa says sternly "I never share it, never have, never will."...

After dinner, Melissa and Chris whet home and Jack put Elizabeth to bed, he done payroll for her and just as he finished, Lilly and Felix walked in "I swear if anyone wakes her up I'm gonna shoot someone" Jack said quietly but sternly "There's left over Chinese in the fridge, keep quiet, Elizabeth has had a headache all day" He said a little more calm this time, the younger couple nods and quietly goes into the kitchen to eat before going to bed...
