The next morning Liz woke up completely alone, no Jack, no Otis, just her. Liz started to panic a little as she realized Jack's spot on the bed showed no sign of him coming to bed and Otis was no longer with her "He left... on our three month anniversary" Liz said quietly, realizing it was January 30th, Liz fought the tears that threatened to fall she reluctantly threw her legs over the edge of the bed and sat up, as she was about to stand, something on her nightstand caught her eye, it was a piece of paper folded neatly with her name on it, written in a calligraphy type print, she picked it up nervously and read it aloud

" Dear Liz...

I'm sorry for being such a dick last night, you probably think I left but I promise I'll be back. Lilly helped me finish the papers for work last night so I'm running them in to Dad and I'm turning my keys in as well, I thought about it a lot and I decided to quit, everything Dad has piled on me is beginning to be too much and the stress is starting to affect my relationship with you and Lil. No, I don't have another job to go to, but I'm gonna look around... I had a friend offer me a job with the NYPD a while back so I'm gonna see if the offer is still on the table. I'm gonna go talk to him today, then I'll be home... Again, I am truly sorry for the way I acted last night... I love you...

Liz's P.O.V

I couldn't help but smile as I read Jack's little note, I sat the note back down on my nightstand and made my way do the kitchen...

Going into the kitchen I found Lilly sitting up on the counter eating bacon "Jack made breakfast... Homemade waffles and bacon are in the oven staying warm" Lilly informed, still munching on her bacon "And let me tell you... That man can cook anything" She added "You didn't know that?" I asked walking over to the coffee pot "No, I did I was just pointing it out... again" Lilly smiled as I grabbed my coffee cup, I found another small piece of paper with my name on it...

" Good morning beautiful, I hope you have an amazing day! I love you... I'm sorry about last night... Here's my card, go treat yourself and Lilly with what ever you'd like

"Wanna go get our nails done?" I asked Lilly, holding up the card that was with the paper "Is that even a question?" Lilly grinned hopping off the counter "Let me call Rachael" I said quickly fixing my coffee... After fixing and drinking my coffee, I went up to my bedroom to get my phone as I picked up my phone there was another note, picking it up I read it aloud...

"Hey Love, you and Lilly have a nail appointment at 12:30, it's already been paid for so don't worry about it... I love you♡
