Chapter Twelve

Two years later

Elizabeth woke up in between Jack and Melanie her now, two-year-old daughter. She couldn't be happier, she had he little Sister living with her again, she had her wonderful husband and finally, she had a beautiful baby all in one place where they were safe, she had officially quit the cafe and Lilly took over, she was finally happy and not quite as afraid she was before, she was able to leave the house alone without panicking and it was nice, knowing she wouldn't be bugging Jack at work because she heard a noise that scared her. She finally had a sense of peace and she loved it. Though she and Lilly still had days they struggled with the kidnapping that happened but they pulled through and they pulled through together...

Jack and Elizabeth had planned a birthday party for Melanie at a small park in town, Jack's chief had made sure that the park was closed for the public for the afternoon and was sending a couple of officers to "guard" the park "just in case"

Elizabeth was a little nervous for today but she was also extremely excited for the simple fact she got to celebrate her daughter's birthday with family but she was also excited to see her Uncle for the first time in a while...

When they got to the park she realized Jack wasn't joking about the other officers "guarding" the park "You were serious" She says quietly "Very" Jack smiles, Elizabeth only shakes her head with a smile as she gets out of the car to get Melanie "Are you ready to see Uncle Tony?" She smiles as she picks Melanie up "Yes Mommy" Melanie giggles "Well come on then" Elizabeth says, kissing her daughter's cheek...

After the party, Melanie played on in the sand while Elizabeth, Jack, and Tony all talked "How have you been with the whole... ya know" Tony asks "Not bad actually... It's getting a little better although the dreams are still there" Elizabeth replies "You girls are doing really good for someone who went through that" Tony states "Well, Jack and Felix actually help a lot" Elizabeth smiles...

After Tony and Elizabeth finish talking they all head home... Jack ordered Pizza while they were in town, although their favorite pizza place would have delivered to them, Jack decided just get it while they were still in town. That way no one had to cook and they didn't have to wait as long...

Once they arrived home Jack got the sleeping Melanie out of the car and Elizabeth tiredly carried the pizza, it had been a while since Melanie had eaten but she was sleeping so good and Jack didn't want to wake her but he knew she needed to eat before she went to bed so he reluctantly woke her...

Felix had taken Lilly out for the night after Melanie's party and they weren't gonna be home anytime soon so it was only Jack, Elizabeth, and Melanie tonight, even though they weren't all together in one place, Elizabeth was happy to have her family together and happy for once. She finally had everything she had ever wanted and she couldn't have been happier...

Hope y'all enjoyed this short little book, I started writing it after I had a dream of my best friend getting kidnapped, though the dream was a little vague it was enough to know what was happening, I hoped to have this up a long time ago but it didn't really go as planned but here it is and I hoped you enjoyed it...
