Yoongi's POV
I don't know how Jungkook could have aged more in 4 months than Jin has ever done in 4 years, but he did, and it didn't surprise any of us. He's always been a fast grower. It seems that Jimin might have gained an inch in height as well, which wasn't a great benefit for me. RM looked the same, as well as Hobi. Taehyung has gained more maturity, probably from visiting his older costars over our break. As for myself I know I lost a lot of weight, probably a bit too much if you asked the other members. I was back at being underweight, which I became accustom to.
It was nice to get back into the groove of scheduling and overworking. I missed it, which sounds ridiculous but overworking is all I ever knew. And I don't like change. Our break nearly drove me to insanity.
"I didn't hear from Yoongi at all over our break. What were you doing? What were you up to?" Jin asked curiously, making all 5 other pairs of eyes on me.
If I told them, they wouldn't believe me.
"You know the usual, sleeping, and spending time with my parents and brother."
"You didn't do anything exciting?"
Sure did.
"No. I caught up on sleep, that's the most exciting thing I done."
It's not what they wanted to hear, I knew that, it was obvious when they immediately dropped the conversation and turned to Jimin to get all his details about France. Jungkook talked about his exciting trips around Korea in search of the perfect tattoo artist. Taehyung mentioned his costars every once in a while during the convo, how much he got to do with them, and how they invited him on a cruise which most likely won't happen since we'll never get a break like this again. RM had a lot to tell us about his various trips to different museums. I'm almost defiant that he visited every museum in South Korea at least twice. Jin spoke about his fishing trips with his dad plus other friends I wasn't aware he had, and cooking with his mother. Jhope spent time in with his sister and talked about starting a new clothing design with her.
I suppose I should've mentioned that I didn't see my family even once over our entire break. But then I would have to come up with another lie, tell them I was actually working on music, which our managers specifically said not to do, that we were to relax. I would be scolded and lectured and I just couldn't handle that at the moment.
So I lied about adventures I had with my brother to coffee shops and parks and friends houses when really I was probably only in the public once of twice, and talked to my brother only through texts since we last saw each other a few months ago, before our break even started.
"I didn't know you and your brother were that close, hyung," (Jungkook).
"We're not," I chuckled which made Jungkook visibly taken aback, I cleared my throat, "me and hyung fight a lot, but we still care to have some sort of a relationship. It makes our parents happy."
He nodded, and that was the end of that.
I got up to grab the expensive bottle of whiskey I hid when I stopped by the dorm over break. Set it on the table and felt the guys staring at my every move while I go cups down.
"Who wants to drink with me?"
"Whiskey is pretty strong hyung," Namjoon commented.
I nodded, "that's the point of it."
"We could get some champagne or wine instead," Seokjin suggested.
"I'm good with whiskey, I haven't had it in a while. All I drank in France was wine, I need something different," Jimin smiled at me, and I knew the only reason he was going to drink with me was because he would feel bad if he didn't.
I didn't say anything about it though, just poured him a third of a small glass and handed it over.
"Anyone else?"
"I don't think I ever tried whiskey," Jungkook said, and Hobi agreed, he didn't think he has either.
I poured them both a glass without saying anything. Taehyung and Seokjin shared wine, and Namjoon gave in to me and got a glass himself, pouring significantly less than the rest of us.
"You know," I finally spoke up after a minute of silence from our chaotic conversation I didn't involve myself in, "whiskey was the first alcohol I ever tried. My friends at the time told me it was weak, so I drank over half a bottle to myself."
"Oh shit, really?" Jimin asked, astonished by this fact.
Everyone was staring at me, I continued, "I woke up in someone's bathtub. True story, surprisingly I wasn't very hung over. I threw up once, but besides that I was just dizzy and super tired."
"Wait, who's house did you wake up in? A strangers?" (Seokjin)
"Not really a stranger, a friend of a friend. Some dude that threw the party, I never talked to before, but seen around my school."
"How old were you?" (Namjoon)
"15."
"Your parents let you go to a party and drink?" Jungkook was shocked, I laughed.
"My parents wouldn't even let me write music, what makes you think they would let me go to a party."
"So you sneaked out I suppose."
"No, I got into a fight with my dad, got physical so I left, they never expected me home after stuff like that, so I just went to a party instead."
"Did they ever find out?"
"Nah."
Dishes were a task I never really enjoyed. But I would do them when I felt like being considerate to my band mates. Tonight, I guess, was one of those nights.
"Are you okay?"
Taehyung's deep voice interrupted my previous thoughts. Making me snap back into reality and realize I been cleaning the same plate for a while now.
"Oh, yeah I am. Just distracted is all."
"What are you daydreaming about, hyung?"
"Nothing Taehyungie. Will you start helping me dry these dishes?"
He looks to the extra clean plate I finally put down and then to the sink still full of dishes.
"Why don't I help you finish cleaning them first?"
I nod mostly because I don't want to talk anymore. If only Taehyung could read minds.
"So all you did with your brother was drink coffee? What else did you do?"
"We hanged out with some friends from high school, friends I used to rap with, and so on."
"What did you do?"
"Honestly Tae I didn't-"
"Do you two need any help?" Jimin walks in the kitchen with shorts, shirtless, and a towel around his neck that he's using to dry his damp head.
Taehyung is staring at me, waiting for me to finish, I glance at him and turn to Jimin.
"No. You just got clean, just go put some clothes on."
Jimin had abs, very defined abs, more defined than when before they took a break. I kept my eyes on his face.
"Hyung don't check me out like that," Jimin laughs making Tae's eyes tear away from me, and chuckles a little.
"Shut the fuck up."
"Touche."
I throw the towel at him angrily, "Clean the dishes your damn self if you want to have an attitude with me."
"Hyung-" he tried to grab my arm, I shoved his hand away, "I was just joking hyung."
I scoffed, everyone was always joking, everything always had to be a joke. I hate jokes.
